I'm doing the same thing I did in my first complete playthrough of BOtW, I'm going to take my sweet time, the bad guys can wait, I'm going to have fun!
I don't want a Switch "Pro", I won't buy one if it comes to be a real thing. On the other hand I would buy a Switch 2 on the moment. I don't want some minor upgrade in graphic output, I want a lighter, more powerful handheld with more battery life. I don't mind at all the current definition to play in handheld mode, as for docked mode, the dock should be upgraded with a GPU to enhance graphic output on a big screen. An SSD in the dock would also be great, so the HD graphics would stored on the dock and the rest of the game in the main internal memory.
@rockodoodle hollow knight is a platformer and you have to play it in a particular way. Dead cells is action you can adapt to your own style of play so it becames "easier", and most of all very enjoyable.
@rockodoodle it does, in fact, you earn the right to play harder levels by succeeding the previous level. Try it, I managed to win in the first level and I'm not very competent. It's an amazing game, usually this kind of games doesn't interest me but this one won me over.
Played the demo. Not impressed. The game looks good, the story parts seemed interesting but the silliness of the action parts ruins it for me. Not my cup of tea.
Is good to have companies who keep working and adding value too games they have already sold for a change instead of keep selling Dlc's.
Played a bit online, unfortunately there are a lot of "crash test dummies wannabes" but when I find a match with people who actually avoid crashing and use the brakes it is pretty awesome.
@electrolite77 not so sure about this, the size of the pitch in PES is gigantic. I remember when I first played PES3 after years playing crappy Fifa games, and the more smaller (realistic) pitch alone made all the difference, you really needed to work the ball and not just kick and rush to fast players up front.
Gave this a go after reading some mixed reviews, but I'm pretty happy with it. Is a fun arcade racer with cars that are also boats and they handle like such. If you want a anti-gravity racer go for Fast this is not it.
Also the game has been patched and now ruins at 60fps with medium settings or 30fps at high settings - the medium graphics are sweet enough for me.
The challenges mode is really cool.
The downside is a very vanilla "championship"mode and total lack of any multiplayer, not even a global lap time tracker like horizons.
Not sorry for the 9€ spent it was a good buy and it as a lot a replayability potencial for a "quick race".
A couple insight: we love playing in the same island, both working and planning in our island, but the co-op mode is really inexistent, there is an "active spectator" mode that really defeats the purpose of cooperation, so this is really the first thing we would like to see patched, a proper couch multiplayer mode, preferably with split screen or at least full access to both players inventory and actions.
Other than that every upgrade is welcome, more stuff to do and collect!
This is our first AC, and we love the game and barely play anything else.
Played for about an hour, and quickly became stall. The limitations of mobile controls are there even though you got real controllers on the Switch, so the combat mechanics (the only thing in the game that could have hooked me because there is no sense of freedom you would expect from TES universe) is simplistically boring, repetitive and did I say boring already?
The "dungeons" are small, linear, and boring.
There are too many shop teasers.
On the bright side, the graphics are ok, I played docked and the performance is also ok. The town development feature gives you access to services and it would be fun if not the more than probably pay wall in near future.
The arena feature is pointless since there will be a great unbalance between payers and freers.
Probably gonna play another hour tomorrow before deleting it.
... But if course I got a decent amount of games to play, if I had none I probably would be so hard on a free to play game even if it a pay to win.
There are a lot of free to play games done right, Asphalt, Warframe, dauntless, this is not one for this group.
Just finished my first playthrough and I'm positively surprised by the game. I have Bayonetta, and I enjoyed it but I got to say the story is confusing, and the fighting system while is "easy on the eyes" I confess that a lot of times I was just pressing random boutons on the controller not having a clue of the combos and things just "magically" happen and my Bayonetta keep on kicking ass... and it was fun as hell! In Astral Chain, the combat is almost "auto-pilot off", of course you can punch buttons, but the strategic elements invite you not to do that. Is a very simple mechanic but the different Legions and how they adapt to the different foes and their attacks is real and most important component in place. What I really liked was the "Police work" between the combat. It gave the game a sense of immersion and connection that elevated the game. I love the graphics and art and the soundtrack is on point. On the other hand, I felt like the in game lasted only a couple of days and not months like the story tells you. There are great scenarios there, different gaming zones, different factions that we should be allowed to stay longer with, follow a little more of their story. I know there is the "File 12" to revisit but I would like to have been forced to take a slower pace during the investigations. Finally, as an adult, a game that don't let you save when you want is big problem. Ok the check points where there and they where not that big, but sometimes I refrained playing the game because I wasn't sure how much time I had to play. I give this game a solid 8/10, and definitely gonna give this a second playthrough.
Meanwhile I bought the game... And sorry... 5 out of 10 is just a bad review.
While I can agree with problems in SOME scenarios when in handheld, in docked mode it works almost flawlessly.
The career mode is addictive (if you like the sport and the genre) and playing single events with friends is a blast - no multiplayer required because, you know... it's Rally not a Track Racer, you just play on your turn and do best time.
I would give it a modest score also, but by NL standards (NL reviews tend to be on the lenient side) a 5 is just destructive, and is the go to game in the system when you want a Rally game with some realism.
I always have been primarily a PC Gamer. Not because graphic detail, but mainly because of modding capabilities.
But the truth is life steals my gaming time, and the Switch was a salvation! Now I can play during lunch hours, when I'm away on work, anytime, anywhere.
Also, I have Crohns Syndrome, so a lot of bathroom time for me... And being able to take my games with me not only is great for gaming proposes as it also is great for to feel like a normal person.
Resuming, playing Witcher 3 (or any other) with lower graphic detail a sacrifice? Nope not really, maybe a compromise, and one I'm more than happy to do! I would never have time to play a complex game like Witcher in any other platform!!
I can slightly agree with this review, but I bet most of people commenting haven't played the game not handheld or docked. Handheld it has some issues but nothing that makes the game unplayable, docked it is great.
Comparison with versions from other systems are pointless. Some people just have one system not the full set! I have a gaming PC I'm used to compromise on every console ever!
Played the game at a friend's and had a lot of fun and probably will buy it. Could be a lot better, since the Witcher came out the benchmark for Switch ports escalated, but it is solid enough to Grant some fun.
Multiplayer... In a rally game? Ok... For me not really a priority, not using the right stick for acceleration is the real problem!

The market value of mobile games (I guess is only smartphone games in there) is a big surprise to me.

Re: Poll: Which Remastered Mario Games Would You Pick For A 'Super Mario All-Stars 2'?
The Wii-U games have no need to be remastered, so not a priority.
On the other hand, 64 and Galaxy would benefit greatly from a remaster.
But my preference 90% of the time is new games instead of of remastered stuff.
