Re: Round Table: Let's Talk About the Famicom / NES

craigmoss19

My memories of the NES in the UK are vastly different to that of Tom's. I remember it being very popular. I Knew a few people that had a NES when I was a child and I remember every time me and my family went to Toys R Us, there was a whole aisle dedicated to NES games and then there was a tiny section for Master System games. I only knew one person that had a Master System...

@Yosher There are many companies that charge extra when new features get added. For example, when Microsoft release a new version of Microsoft Office, they don't just let you upgrade for free.

@ULTRA-64 "I guess you like buying the same game of the same company and paying the same amount each time, right! Even though no new content is added, or changes made!"

Well no, since I haven't ever done that, plus you don't actually need to pay full price again so your point is invalid.

Companies have been charging people for software upgrades for a very long time so what Nintendo is doing is not unusual. It is up to you whether you decide to purchase it or not.

@SilentHunter382 With that logic, someone who bought Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii should get the Wii U version for free. I'm afraid a lot of things don't work out that way and I personally feel that people should be grateful that they aren't charging full price to upgrade to the Wii U versions because they could have done if they wanted to.

To all of these people that seem to think that they won't be able to watch youtube videos, if you use a HTML 5 web browser without Flash and go to youtube then it will load the HTML 5 player as opposed to the Flash player so you can still watch the videos.

Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo 3DS XL

craigmoss19

I got mine from Gamestation in the UK and they gave me a free charger with it, not that it mattered since I already have a charger from my 3DS. I got the XL just because the original is too uncomfortable for me to hold. The XL is so much more comfortable. I really like it

I used to love the Gamecube version of Soul Calibur II. Link fitted in so well.

I used to love how at the time you could pretty much get all the Resident Evil games on the Gamecube.

When I first got the Gameube I had Luigi's mansion and Super Smash Bros. Melee. I was amazed by Smash bros. The amount of content put into that one fighting game was phenomenal!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Plans to Fight Back

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Nintendo still make some of the best first party games ever.

I can't imagine never being able to play a new Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros., etc.

If Nintendo made a console that only had first party games on it, I'd still get it

I'm hoping they'll announce some way of messaging your friends. Online version of Pictochat would be perfect for this.

I'd also like to know more about the GBA games and it would be good to hear when they plan on releasing NES, Game Gear and Turbografx games on the Virtual Console.

I'll be happy if just one of these things are talked about.
