I got absolutely hooked on this when I got my Ally. Had tried it a bit on the Switch and while it was fun, there's just too much going on for that screen and the resolution.
DE are peak at optimization though so im sure it runs good on S2.
I've never been into mmorpgs but man this games fun, and everything being available to earn for free (the game is only pay to be pretty) just makes it so much better. And you can just farm stuff to trade to others for premium currency if you want free cosmetics.
Big fan of Isaac and rougelikes and tactics games but Mewgenics is kind of meh. Its a bit too grindy for my tastes for the rougelike upgrade system, and I like building up my favorite units as much as possible, which you cant do in this as a cat goes on an adventure once and is then retired. Maybe that changes later on but I felt no need to find out.
The music is great though, that sewer jam is so catchy.
While im no fan of the constant remake/remaster/rerere cash crabs, I just recently picked up the RE3 remake on the Spring Sale for a couple bucks and while it wasn't very faithful to the original, man it had some excellent atmosphere.
Might start in the 2 remake today. Doubt ill bother with 4 since well, it was already basically perfect and im not a zoom zoom so better looking walls and grass does nothing for me.
There sure are alot of boomer shooters with similar aesthetics flooding the market lately, but this one at least has a bit of extra visual charm to it like the Forgive Me Father games that set it a part somewhat at least.
Edit: Tried it on my Ally and its a lot better than I expected. Kind of feels like Severed Steel or a more linear arcade style Doom Eternal with 40second levels. Gyro makes it feel great so hopefully they dont fumble that on the Switch.
