@Dogorilla Playing Fortnite with all the different IPs crossing over in my view is like when you are a kid, and just emptying out the toy box and playing with every toy in there no matter how mismatched they may seem.

@Dogorilla I’ll tell you what Fortnite is now, it’s a virtual toy box. A vast, creative playground where anything can happen and you are allowed to feel like a child again.

@SalvorHardin I don’t care what you say, The Simpsons in my opinion has gotten better in the last few years and it seems the show has gotten a resurgence lately. Case in point, we just got a second movie announced which is a big deal.

@JayJ It’s NOT a “zombie era”, these collaborations are amazing! It’s like when you were a kid, playing with all of your toys together no matter how mismatched they may seem, coming up with all sorts of scenarios using your imagination.

@somnambulance How could the game possibly be not good? It’s impossible to make a bad game when you take inspiration from Mega Man and Super Mario Bros. 2. I’m not at all a critical, if it looks fun, then I say it is fun.

@somnambulance I could have sworn the reviews were actually very positive. You’re forgetting that it’s an indie game so for that, it’s a commendable effort.

@somnambulance Yeah, clearly I’m of the generation of SpongeBob, Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron so I have Mitch more of a connection to the video games they made for those shows and all the crossovers. But I do love the 90s shows as well, as they were airing in reruns all the time.

@somnambulance When it comes like the crossovers in Fortnite and CrossWorlds, it’s all about having FUN, they really are just meant to have that “toy box” feeling I mentioned earlier, making adult players feel like kids again.

@somnambulance Yeah, in the generation I grew up in, licences games like ones based on Nickelodeon shows were getting better, we got some actually really fun games, with even the original writers and voice actors on board heightening the experience. I sort of feel sorry that you didn’t grow up during the PS2/GameCube/Xbox generation like I did.

@somnambulance For your information, I’m not a child, I’m 27 years old. I just have a more optimistic view of the world, thus I love seeing Sonic crossover with SpongeBob and the Ninja Turtles no matter if there’s any explanation for it. Don’t you still have that sense of wonder to be happy seeing your favorite characters cross over, there doesn’t always need to be an explanation, you just go with it and have fun.

@somnambulance I grew up in the 2000s, when Nickelodeon games we here I think were really, REALLY good. All the SpongeBob games and Nicktoons crossover games mean so much to me, and they are still really fun to play today.

I’m really sorry if you personally don’t like crossovers unless there’s a “reason” for it, I hope you don’t mind my reasoning for why I DO like them.

@somnambulance @Jeronan Nickelodeon actually DOES have quite a substantial legacy in gaming, especially with several SpongeBob games being parenial favorites, most notably Battle for Bikini Bottom.

Hey guys. My account was banned for a day because of what you guys refer to as "flaming", and I am very sorry for that. Wasn't trying to annoy anybody, I just get very defensive about Mario, Sonic, and pretty much anything I love.

@somnambulance Even if YOU din't like crossovers, I can't get enough of them, especially in video games and comics. It reminds you of when you are a kid and empty out the whole toy box and play with whatever is in there and come up with all kinds of creative stuff no matter how mismatched it may seem.

@TheLX When I said the fandoms overlap, I meant that lots of people who love Sonic also love SpongeBob, TMNT or Avatar as well. Sometimes all four at the same time, like me. Also, NONE of the cartoons coming to CrossWorlds are "past their prime". SpongeBob continues to air to this day and is still extremely popular, with even a new game and movie this Winter, TMNT is still around getting all kinds of new stuff, and Avatar has had a HUGE resurgance lately and is also getting a new movie next year. Hope you understand my point now.

@DTFaux Oh trust me, it’s gonna be around for a while with a whole year of post-launch content planned.

@somnambulance In my opinion, if you can get the Mega Man and DC universe to crossover with the Sonic universe, then there’s no reason to question why the Nickelodeon ones couldn’t. Think about that.

@somnambulance Don’t count out the Sega characters just yet. There’s a very good chance that they will be in the FREE DLC and your criticisms today won’t age well.
