@SteamEngenius I really don’t see how JoJo’s inclusion is a big deal when she’s the only character in the game who still doesn’t speak. There’s still an incredible amount of representation from many other great Nickelodeon classics we all know and love.
I don’t mean to leave so many comments in a row, but I HAVE to address Chris’ issue with the slime slide shortcuts. He claims that it’s difficult to see the barriers and it’s difficult to not get hit, and that’s untrue. When you get to a barrier, there’s a “!” that pops up so you know when to jump over it. Having played the game long enough, the key to getting used to those sections is to have fast reflexes and watch out for the “!” when you know when to jump. Master that and you will get “Slime Legend”s soon enough.
@FroZtedFlake Sorry about that. Yeah, I am sure they absolutely will patch the game to address any issues it has. Otherwise, this is a really good game for arcade style racing game fans and Nickelodeon fans.
Chris, I’m REALLY shocked that you see Garfield’s inclusion as a negative. Garfield is among one of the IPs that was a big part of my childhood, and I feel deserves more respect.
@HotGoomba Yes! Not just for Garfield, but for the track variety, the robust customization options, the faithfulness to the source material and having lots of variety in gameplay.
I really don’t know what you’re problem is with this game Chris. Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 to me is a great game, filled with so many characters that I grew up with (including Garfield), lots of great customisation options and I love the track designs and how it plays. Frame rate doesn’t matter to me, the joy of arcade style racing games and my love for all the represented series makes this a strong recommendation for those looking for a Mario Kart alternative.
@Jawessome Look, I really don’t know what to do or say that will make things better, what do you want to do, just fly to Japan and tell them what it is that you want, only to discover it’s a lot more complicated and not so black and white?? You can’t handle my optimistic attitude? Too bad. I’ll always look on the bright side of things, and no angry Sonic fans will change that.
I really, REALLY hope there are other people besides me who are playing Sonic Origins and liking it. Who understands it’s target audience and isn’t being the negative antsy Sonic fans tend to be stereotyped to be. Please, show me that I’m not alone!
@Jawessome People deserve to play whatever games they want without anyone online telling them what to do or what to think. No amount of videos or articles are going to stop anyone from playing any Sonic game they want, and Sonic is not going anywhere no matter what they say.
@Jawessome No matter what anyone says, this will be peoples’ point of entry to the army Sonic games, and they’re not going to be angry, they’re gonna have a good time because the games themselves are still fun.
I think some of Sonic Origin's biggest critics are missing one key aspect about the game that should be reminded: It was made for the NEW generation of Sonic fans, and the new players I believe aren't gonna be so picky about the small details compared to other versions. If they're gonna patch out some of the imperfections, that's great, but I feel the majority of people who have been harsh on this game are older or veteran Sonic players. The real target audience of this game are those discovering the old games for the first time, and they deserve a good Sonic play experience without the ire of older players making countless tweets and YouTube videos ripping this game to shreds.
I've been playing Sonic Origins on the PS4 and I've been having a great time with it! The games are just as fun to play as I remember them, and nothing has happened that ruins the experience at all.

@rjejr Does anyone have to take the scores on this site so seriously, or can people play games for themselves if they really want to?

@HotGoomba Please tell me you’re not being ironic. I unironically love Garfield.

I can’t take this review seriously if he thinks Garfield and JoJo Siwa’s inclusion is a negative. JoJo doesn’t even speak in this game!

Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins
@Pandy-the-Panda There has to be a logical reasoning, and I’m sure someone will explain exactly what happened.
Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins
@ArchRex Not ones that make the games completely unplayable.
Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins
@SalvorHardin Sorry, I guess “defensive” is a more descriptive word.

Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins
@Jawessome It’s clearly not exactly “lazy” given the incredible new animated cutscenes and the the work that went into making the museum.
Re: Sega "Working On Fixing A Variety Of Issues" In Sonic Origins
@Jawessome It’s not completely unplayable you know.

What would I like to see? That's easy, Super Smash Bros., Pilotwings 64, Wave Race 64, Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing!

In case you guys have forgotten, 2022 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Mario Kart series! Of course they'll want to celebrate that!
