@8bitKirby But what you are forgetting is how absolutely beloved SpongeBob is. The amount of people ecstatic about his inclusion far outweighs the naysayers
“I’m not playing the game properly”, that’s a very weird and unfair way to describe an open world game. Plenty of people absolutely love the feeling of getting lost and exploring their own virtual playground.
I really don’t understand why you would feel you are “not playing the game properly” in an open world. The whole idea is that you can play however you want.
@N00BiSH I’m sorry. I’m autistic and I have trouble condensing what I have to say in a single comment. Also, I get REALLY defensive about my favorite things. Can we compromise here?
@N00BiSH Also, how could you say that this “didn’t add anything new to Mario’s World”? Buddy, this movie substantially expanded the world in a way that they couldn’t in a game. Does the game do inti detail about how the Toads or Kings live? And in the sequel, they will FURTHER expand the world. You are so incredibly wrong in this, that I dare you to admit you are off base.
@N00BiSH @RedfromKanto I’m sorry, but to cal this movie shallow or uninspired is SO insulting, I refuse to let you have the last word on it. Apologise now and show those people some respect by following them on social media. I really wish there was an “The Art of The Super Mario Bros Movie” book, just to further show you how wrong you are. They really do care, they made a great movie and it doesn’t have to be any more than what it is, an accessible movie about an accessible game series.
@N00BiSH I really hate how bitter you are about this movie. They DID put passion and love into it. THEY DID! I refuse to let anyone say otherwise. You ARE INDEED wrong, adults CAN watch this movie and enjoy it. No excuses. “Shallow and uninspired”, Buddy, I hate it when people use those words, like they can make anything better.
I seriously don’t understand it, how could a simple movie about Mario be so divisive among you guys who read Nintendo Life? Why are opinions so divided when it should have been clear that this movie was a labor of love from a team who absolutely loves the franchise and just wanted to entertain people? You guys who didn’t like the movie seriously don’t understand how much the people who made the first film possible are one amazingly talented team and made a movie that is exactly what we wanted after years of only having the 1993 film. You guys are acting like this film only meant to be watched by exclusively children and that adults shouldn’t watch it or enjoy it, BUT THAT’S WRONG! That’s a stigma that I absolutely hate, and we should all be able to appreciate movies like this.
@SirLink If you really think that these video game movies are just “advertisements for the games”, then by that logic comic book movies are just advertisements for the comics. Honestly, this criticism doesn’t make any sense.
@LastFootnote Please keep in mind: What may be cringey to you may be hilarious to someone else. Also, you’ll never know where a meme would come from. I don’t recall anything that was made to intentionally be a meme.
@StewdaMegaManNerd No you’re not, I liked them too. I especially loved the use of the Beastie Boy’s No Sleep til Brooklyn, one of the most badass songs you could possibly use. And it’s not even the first time being in an Illumination movie, as it was used in the first Secret Life of Pets. They know that song rocks.
@Chocobo_Shepherd Did you actually see the movie yet? I feel like everyone has seen it by now and do it doesn't make sense that you're still skeptical.
@PinballBuzzbro For you're information, I only have Wasp and Spider-Man, and even if I did have more MCU Pops, that's not a bad thing at all. Why would you use that as a way of insulting people?

Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@XXWeskerXX “barely anything good”? That is incorrect sir.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@XXWeskerXX You are very much wrong. The Mario series has been consistently amazing since SM64.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH Okay. I’m sorry.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH We should be able to work this out in a civilized manner. I feel there’s more to this movie than you are letting on.

Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH I AM right about my point. And “cliches”, dude, not everyone has seen every film ever made, for some this is very new and unique.

@RedfromKanto All of those movies you just mentioned I think are good too.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH Everything you just said about this movie is wrong.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH @N00BiSH I think you are wrong. They did NOT do the “bare minimum” in my opinion.

@Bass_X0 I don’t understand why anyone would say that. It was just right in my opinion.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@PinderSchloss I don’t see how that’s possible. This film never did that to me.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH Sorry, I’m highly defensive.

Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@Ratmasterd21 In my opinion, Illumination’s movies are NOT bad at all. I don’t care what anyone says, I love them.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH They watch this because they were able to establish the world in a more substantial way than the games could.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH @fenlixMovies don’t always have to “say anything”, they could just be pure, escapism entertainment, which I feel we need now more than ever.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@fenlix I disagree, I absolutely love their work.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@N00BiSH I don’t get it, why are people so impossible to satisfy unless you’re very easy to please like me?
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@TenEighty No, all three of them make fantastic movies, and always will be.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@Kingy There’s no such thing as “reference junk food”, that’s what the cynical people say.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@Bass_X0 @NotASockPuppet How could
You say that it was “overly long” when it’s a very short movie? I think the film is just right in it’s length.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel

@Munchlax That I think is very offensive to those who love the movie.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@Vyacheslav333 NO, it WAS made for old fans.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
@poyo_pie Dude, you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy these movies.
Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel
I don’t care what anyone says, I absolutely loved the first movie and I cannot wait for the new one!
Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations Speeds Past Two Million Sales Worldwide
Why wouldn't they acknowlege the Knuckles series? I actually liked it, I think the hatred for it is way out of porportion.

Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?
@Steel76 You're kidding right? If you're THAT impatient, just find something else to do until something is announced.
Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?
@fenlix Right, so what is all the fuss here?
Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?
@N8tiveT3ch I don't think it's that.
Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?
Are these guys serious here? It's literally just a case of not sharing something until they feel it's time.
Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Big Question: What The Heck Is Happening At Nintendo Right Now?
@Ryu_Niiyama Exactly. Just go do something else in the meantime.
