Wii U only needs one good online "military shooter" to keep the population of players in one place.
Black ops 2 was well optimised for the system so why not roll with that?
Give all multiplayer maps away as free DLC to expand upon the original game.
Sell the "Zombies" maps individually and at a discount as a pack of 4 (3 for the price of 4)
Sell personalisation packs for the game to recuperate the costs of giving away the multiplayer maps free, adding some nintendo exclusive weapon skins along with those available on other systems.
Double XP weekends activated whenever the latest CoD title receives one on other platforms
I'm definitely getting Watch_Dogs purely as I purposely held off to play it on Wii U and am trying to collect most Wii U retail titles (I nearly have 50 thus far), I also have a Hauppauge HDPVR 1 so can record some 720p gameplay if you guys (and gals) would like?
The issue with the system updating while turned off is easily rectifiable.
Simply disable standby functions/quick start.
I chose to do this as it caused my external hard drive to spin up unnecessarily on a fairly frequent basis so I disabled said function in the ear of caution to potentially prolong the life of the drive.
The add on a Mario Kart 8 Preorder from Tesco for £35.
What do you get for your additional £35? Well 3 great local multiplayer games as well as 2 Wii Motion Plus Controllers, Download New Super Mario Bros. U as your free game (as this will fit on the Wii U basic system memory with enough room to patch all the other games you're getting) and get enough content to keep the whole family entertained while christmas for only £35 more

Re: Legend of Zelda and Mario Kart Feature in Updated European My Nintendo Rewards
Store discounts are fine... but last time I checked I didn't want to buy more games for the Wii U or 3DS...

Here's the way I see it.
Wii U only needs one good online "military shooter" to keep the population of players in one place.
Black ops 2 was well optimised for the system so why not roll with that?
Personally I see that as problem solved.
