@Zeldafanforlife - I'm not sure what got you so excited, but it doesn't matter. Personal attacks aren't what we're about here. Try counting to 10 before posting next time you feel that way.
@VanillaLake
That is not the only thing you said, you said Nintendo uses PowerPC AND that doesn't appeal at all to developers. That and portion of it not appealing at all to developers is a very important qualifier that you just conveniently decided to forget. Not only that but you say that as if it's the truth and I don't buy that for a second. You expect me to believe you and so many others when I catch you people in lies ALL THE TIME?! Give me a break. Most of the people I've caught in lies have been on Miiverse, I have blocked those people.
@VanillaLake You were implying that when you said third party developers don't want to develop for it because it's PowerPC. I've seen so many people say that PowerPC is hard to develop for when I know that's a lie.
@VanillaLake Why do you people keep spouting the same lie that PowerPC is hard to develop for? No matter how many times you say it that doesn't make it true.
@abbyhitter I don't see how the shrines wouldn't be the mini dungeons. I'm perfectly fine with that. I just hope there are more than 4 main dungeons. I hope there's at least 6 with Ganon's castle being the 7th.
@rjejr If I were to guess I'd say half of Monolith Soft was sent to work on Zelda U/NX while the other half stayed to start work on the next Xenoblade. It seems to me like that would make the most sense.
@rjejr Arena type battles is what I was alluding to with The Last Story. I think that maybe an 8 player arena free-for-all would be fun or a 2-8 person obstacle course.
@rjejr I wouldn't want team multiplayer in this game. If they had multiplayer I'd want it to be a completely separate mode from the main game. Something akin to what they did in The Last Story.
@LeRaposa I'm assuming you didn't grow up playing Zelda. The games aren't perfect, no game is, but if you don't think they're great games for what they are then I have to question if you actually try to look objectively at games. Of course it's pretty much impossible to be completely objective, some subjectivity will always be present.
@Frank90 I don't think there has ever been an instance where the censorship of ANY game has bothered me. Leave the core game itself intact and I couldn't really care less what they censor.
@Lord There have never been any rumors that I've heard of of Zelda having problems running on the Wii U other than that slight choppiness we saw from the game awards footage from a year and a half ago but it's not fair to judge how a game runs in it's pre-alpha build. For the record, I plan on getting both versions of the game.
@ThanosReXXX So many people are impatient and feel very entitled. Doesn't matter to me that they're not starting with Zelda. I've never been into the Pokemon games but have occasionally watched the show over the years and I don't really care about Sun and Moon but I know a lot of people do. I wish everyone would learn to be patient more than anything.
@RainbowGazelle
What's wrong with the Treehouse team? They do exactly what they're supposed to do, preview games. They're not there to try to makes us laugh, if they do it's a bonus.
Zelda is the only title I need to be satisfied with my Wii U purchase. Everything else was just a bonus so for me this is going to be one of the greatest E3s ever.
I feel the same way. I've only played the first Galaxy, have the second but haven't played it yet and though it definitely is a great game SM3DW is more fun imo. Champion's Road took me 5 hours to beat and I plan on going back some day and beating it with all 5 characters. Good times.
@Yorumi What might be mediocrity to you might not be to someone else. You're treating your opinion as undeniable fact when it is not. All I ever wanted from the Wii U or any Nintendo console for that matter is an awesome Zelda game and it definitely looks like Nintendo is going to deliver on that so I'm more than happy with the console. All the other games are just a bonus.

The quote from Mark Cerny in that 'article' shows that he DID NOT WANT TO USE X86!!!

Of course backwards compatibility won't be on the NX because the NX more than likely and hopefully will run off 3ds sized cartridges.

It doesn't break immersion it enhances it.
Re: Nintendo Outlines Key Goals to Ensure NX Success
@TheWPCTraveler
I seriously doubt NX will have backwards compatibility because I'm hoping it's going back to cartridges, preferably 3ds sized.

I'd say the chances of it being a 2d side scroller are slim to none.

Do you mean to play against other people online or against NPCs in the main game? Or both?

Carts offer so many benefits over discs, it would be insane not for them to go back to carts.

I hate when people think they can speak on my behalf and I have also had similar experiences with Gamestop employees
