Sure, I get that Mara isn’t for everyone. If you are not the kind of gamer that truly enjoys a simulation game, then you shouldn’t get it. You don’t play the game to go from A to B or to just to do all the quests. No, you do the quests to make the Home Island of Koa more beautiful, more bountiful and a real home. And meanwhile, you discover new islands, learns the story of new people and live through new adventures. So I understand the difference in review scores, depending on your outlook on what a good game is. But this review doesn't feel fair. If you don’t want to play that game, don’t review it...
I've played the original on my Japanese 3DS last year, and I can safely say this is a great game to pick up. Great story, utter charm in the characters and the Yokai. Real time battles, not turn based, although the Yokai can fend for themselves too.
Yep, a day one buy for me. I loved the first and the second one, even though the enthusiastic clapping girls tend to get on my nerves a bit. But it's a great management style game, and this one even has the dolls house added to it to decorate. Bring it on! By the way, 51 yrs old here..😊
Although I'm not really a platformer fan, I am a big fan of Chibi Robo. I'm glad Nintendo is at least making a game with him, even though I would have much preferred if they'd localized Okaeri Chibi Robo, the sequel to the GameCube game in the DS that never made it west. But, definitely going to buy this one, maybe it will even get me to like a platformer for once!
It's beyond me why we pay so much more for the 3DS system ánd for the 3D games, and then get treated like we don't really matter in the overall scheme of Nintendo. I'm a big fan of the company and have bought every handheld that's come to the market. And I'm still enthusiastic about the 3DS, even though it took Nintendo long enough to give us the promised system update. I hope they won't let us down now!
