Re: Gravitronix

WindOnFire

Finally! Heaps of new info from their blog.

"Gravitronix will feature a 21 level campaign mode for 1-2 players. It offers 10 regular levels aimed at teaching you the gameplay and 11 challenge levels aimed at making you jump out of your chair and scream with joy when you finally beat them."

"we've finally nailed down some details about Grav's gameplay which we're 90% certain won't change before release.

Basic Gravitronix Gameplay:

  • The game will feature up to 8 players on a single Wii with four players holding Wii remotes and 4 holding nunchuks (wifi didn't make the cut, but we have wifi plans for future games).
  • The game is played on a circular arena and players can choose to play with two 180° territories or four 90° territories.
  • Inside this zero-gravity arena, you will use four different projectiles as weaponry against opponents.
  • Gameplay is as simple as twisting the Wii remote or nunchuk and pressing two buttons to fire different gravity beams, one to push projectiles away and one to capture them, holding them in front of your gravity platform as you move along your territory.
  • Territories begin the game lined with a wall of shield pieces which are destroyed on contact with projectiles except the shard which bounces off shield pieces. When a projectile destroys a shield piece, it is destroyed as well.
  • The objective of the game is to be the last territory remaining by eliminating all other territories. Territories are eliminated when a projectile passes through their territory line.

Looks alright but I want to know how you control. It says the controllers it supports, but how do you actually do it? Maybe they'll use the pointer that'd be cool.

@ all ^- yeah well dont blame us, its the way we were brought up. We were brought up in the days of hi def and good graphics, so its only natural that we dont like games with 8-bit graphics. Still, for all you oldies out there, enjoy
