@nessisonett I would prefer not to get into the merits of individual campaigns for social justice here. But the term SJW in this context is more of a pejorative. It is used where it is believed that the persons in question have lost their way and are overly obsessed with identity politics, to the point that they are no longer working towards any more noble goal and the effect of their actions restrict more than they liberate. As with so called "feminazis", it is not usually an attack on mainstream movements for equality.

Now obviously there will still be a lot of disagreement as to what is mainstream and benevolent and what is fringe, fanatical and potentially self serving. Which is another subject that I would prefer to avoid getting into here.

But I will say that I fail to see who is liberated or granted equality by needless restriction of escapism in video games.

With games like Gal Gun and Nights of Azure 2 being available in the west, I don't think we need to be overly concerned about the SJWs coming for our games with bouncing titties in them just yet.

Perhaps it is more likely that they simply declined to release this outside of Japan, as it there is likely only a niche (albeit devoted perhaps) market for it in other territories? It also looks like a pretty bad game in its own right.

Why is he still showing off one of the models that he previously pulled from his store?

@eltomo It is not clear whether or not he really is making much money out of this. I know he previously claimed revenue or unit sales (not clear which) in the millions but never substantiated this. When he did a video showing purported revenue of over $200k, one YouTuber spotted that the number of orders for the day he claimed he made this much was a paltry 7. So he probably placed one or more bogus orders to pad the numbers.

@Tirza I had not heard of him as a rapper before this, though there is a fair amount of hilarity and eye rolling to be had with these recent events.

I don't suppose for a second that they would ever collaborate with him or port it to a specific system for his sake, though I also doubt that they would be able to block it from being used on some random android device, that he might choose to resell.

But he still might need his store back up before that even becomes an issue.

I am not sure of the sticker was a joke on the part of Madlittlepizel, as I have only seen that on one of his videos and it was comically badly applied.

@JackEatsSparrows I am not sure if you read what I actually said there? I was in no way defending him, I was pointing out that he had made even less effort than the article suggested.

He is a blatant fraud and it is good that he has been stopped (for now at least). But if he finds something to dropship that can play a version of Fortnite (does such a thing exist?), he will no doubt be bleating about all the haters saying he could not "release" one that could play it.

He did not manufacture anything, so this is misleading.

He did not even reskin them, so this is false. All indications are that he was just dropshipping them as is, with no other effort made on his part whatsoever (other than lying to promote them, if you can count that as "work").

So potentially if he finds a non-rooted Android device to dropship, the mobile version could run on it? Though he may need to get his store back online first, before considering what crazy mark up to apply to any such device.

@Moroboshi876 I am guessing he might mean hero in a looser sense, such as to refer to main protagonists or antagonists, as the other Mario characters fall into this category and so do most others in their respective games (though clearly exceptions exist).

Besides, "hero" is a matter of perspective. Bowser may very well be a hero to Koopers and Goombas.

@siouxrunner15 Even if that is true, it is somewhat understandable that Twitch might object to a portrayal of drinking until one passes out on their platform. I get that they do not have a reputation for consistency in their enforcement, though this does not strike me as all that controversial.

@Triple-Dragon Still though, if he tries to establish a brand called "Souljagame", the sensible thing to do is to register that domain. By all means continue to use the watch version as the primary domain but either redirect the game version to it or at least secure it to stop exactly this from happening.

I am not clear on the precise timeline but it seems that Souljagame must have been a thing at least as early as the 5th. It is a bit of a random one for someone to register just in case.

I agree regarding taking it down and I suppose should have known better myself, as my own line of work is kind of related. I guess it was just too easy to get caught up in the hilarity of the situation.

@Triple-Dragon I concede the point. Perhaps he is just too dumb to register other domains that are intrinsic to his brand and someone did it to troll him at an early stage. I do not have an explanation as to why they would take control of it so early, whilst allowing sale of the offending items to continue.

Shame. It was funnier to think that Nintendo did it. Though it would also have been amusing if whoever did it was more open about it.

I do not think the redirect to the 3DS page in itself is cause for suspicion though.

@Triple-Dragon There is scant evidence available at this stage to say where souljagame.com went to previously, though both domains were registered within 2 days of each other via Godaddy (watch on the 3rd and game on the 5th). They have whois privacy on, which does not help with determining the owner, though them being registered so close together and via the same registrar does surely increase the likelihood of them both being his.

In any case, it does make sense that Nintendo would only take control of the game version, as "souljagame" was deliberately being pushed by him as being associated with Nintendo and other big names, so it stands to reason that they would act to stop this. Souljawatch, on the other hand, is much more generic and it may very well be that simply removing the products from that site was enough.

So I would ask if you have evidence yourself that souljagame.com was neither registered by him, nor was it previously set to redirect to souljawatch.com?

@goggles789 I am really not even sure what you are responding to here. Certainly nothing that I have said.

But his tweet does not exactly endear him to me as a person. He was caught doing something wrong and rather than show contrition, he refers to his critics as "haters" and seeks to belittle what appears to have been a pretty thorough investigation. He does not come across as a particularly decent person, though I do not know much about him beyond the Kong score debacle.

@goggles789 Doubtful. I simply find the diagnosis put forward by others to be sufficiently compelling, as to form the opinion that he cheated.

@goggles789 I don't there is too much point in further attempts to reason with you and I strongly suspect that you are projecting here.

I acknowledge that he is a skilled player. I acknowledge that he is currently capable of achieving comparable scores to the ones that he apparently faked. I do not acknowledge that doing something without cheating invalidates a previous incident of cheating. I do not even see the need to acknowledge that he could have achieved those scores legitimately originally. The problem with having cheated is that it means we will never know.

If he wants redemption though, he could at least acknowledge the prior wrongdoing.

But no, a later, legitimate attempt can never validate an earlier accomplishment that is tainted by cheating. I don't much care whether we are talking about Billy or anybody else. And a person who wants to be forgiven for cheating could at least have the decency to ask, rather than continuing to act in a shady manner.

@goggles789 Not really. The problem with that line of thinking, is that he did still cheat. He has not (to my knowledge) acknowledged cheating, let alone apologised for it. In cheating when he did, he likely maintained or increased a level of fame that he did not deserve at the time, having not accomplished the score legitimately. He may very well have benefited financially from it as well and could conceivably have caused others to lose both fame and money, by illegitimately overshadowing their scores.

Achieving the same score legitimately, years later, with more practice and experience, does not invalidate the past offence. Nor does it entirely prove that he was capable at the time, with practice and experience being a factor in most things.

@goggles789 No, not at all. Simply that cheating stains a person's record, even if it does not invalidate later accomplishments that are done without cheating.

A capable athlete cheats in one race, they are still a cheat.
