Oh yeah, this is going to tick a lot of people off SO MUCH. And I think they kinda have a right to. I have a regular 3ds and I was thinking of upgrading to an xl for smash bros so this is great for me. But this sucks for those who maybe just got a new xl. Also the idea of a game only being exclusive to a new upgrade is a hard fact to swallow. BUT it was genius on nintendo's part because they have an excellent "launch game" so it will fly off the shelves.

Nintnedo, listen to me. If this comes out before christmas in the states WITH a North American version of Xenoblade chronicles, you will make so much money. Do it nintendo, make it happen.

I think it's about time nintendo released a major upgrade for the wii u. An account system would be most appreciated nintendo especially with the holidays coming up. Put it up now so if you put it up around christmas it doesn't take the eshop down.

Anything can be addicting. The question is if you get addicted and to experience whatever it is in moderation.

someone else mentioned it but it bears repeating. It seems like they know what their doing and the have a plan going in a lot more last year. If they can KILL it at e3 this year they stand a fighting chance this gen as they pretty much have the spotlight. If they fail, they can kiss any chance of the wii u being successful goodbye.

I approve Mr Iwata. As long as you keep focus on fixing the wii u I am curious to see what you will do.

@absuplendous Did YOU sit through the whole thing, if not don't talk. They said there would be OR/AS footage and I was expecting more considering all we sat through.

@Silent It wasn't even a real teaser. It showed groudon and Kyogre doing something. I could make something more interesting in pokemon x.

@AlbertoC I would argue not. Maybe if you didn't watch the stream it is. But for us who did. We had to watch battle tropezei footage, creepy adult man in a pink suit, and man baths. To sit through all of that I was expecting something more.

@GalacticMario28 It wasn't so much the footage, but what we had to sit through to see the footage.

My main beef with this was the ad didn't show anything new. It literally just showed Groudon and Kyogre. If I wanted to see them I could just look in my PC box. Not only that, but I had to sit through half an hour of obnoxious japanese television to see it.

@2Sang totally agree. I wasn't expecting much. But that was just inexcusable. The TV was loud and obnoxious, even by japanese standards. And all we got was a 30 second cinematic telling us nothing new.

@AlbertoC I'd almost say it's worse. I wasted half an hour watching stupid Japanese TV and all I got was less than a minute of a cinematic, not even gameplay. I don't want to sound entitled, but if I'm gonna invest that much time (keep in mind it's watching Japanese television) I expected something a bit more. Heck, reading the chat on the side was more interesting.

looks interesting. However the word "novel" makes me nervous and a pre rendered cutscene doesn't really say much past the tone of the game.

This is awesome. In my opinion the best thing in the direct maybe rivaled by the better online.

I'm kinda disappointed, but I understand. If the 3ds and wii u versions were to come out at the same time they would take sales from each other. And it ensures that smash bros wii u will sell well. If they release a super smash bros bundle this holiday season they will KILL it. And if I had the choice of getting 3ds in the winter and the summer, I choose winter.
