I would argue that because we’re not (yet) getting a Mario 40 solo direct that could mean there’s a 15min section devoted to it! there were rumours of a NSMB bundle plus wonder gets a s2 upgrade and why not debut the movie trailer… easy
Dont hate me... literally NOTHING I will buy in September. Must be one of the few who disliked Hollowknight. Usually find there is a decent balance between either a first party release or dlc, a third party port or niche indie I'll take a look at.
Have to say its made me disappointed in the Switch 2 so far. the games I've played have been good but I was hoping to be more impressed by the first party slate and the third party support. I currently feel like were still in Switch 1 mid-late gen territory where there is a slow stream of BIG games and a tonne of rpgs, trpgs, jrpgs and sims
Glad Nintendo Life is acknowledging how BADLY they fumbled the bag on there actually being a direct 🤭
My vibe is this will be largely underwhelming… Probably lots of DLC snippets and games from other summer showcases that to the surprise of no one are also coming to Switch (Persona3) then “saved” by the announcement of new 2D Mario.
Pretty basic overall, everything interesting was already announced and despite stating that they were presenting third party titles releasing THIS year they go on to talk a lot about games coming in 2023 :/
@Serpenterror no you’re right it’s not an out and out rpg or even a tactical rpg but it has so many similar elements to something like fire emblem in terms of squad/party, strategic engagements and a turn based combat system. my point being that most of the games I mentioned share those elements and there is very little variety

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
@Johnny44 respectfully I’d trade more air riders news for pretty much anything! the Sakurai direct ticked a lot of boxes
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
@Earl_Grey there’s a decent chance! As you say it’s been an age and the movie is out next year so would tie in
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
@MontyCircus gotta keep the faith! I hope it was an early version, because it was big reason I bought the console 😬
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

@kerplunk I was thinking the exact same thing, and that would be the most positive outcome!
Re: Nintendo Direct Mini To Air Tomorrow, June 28
Everyone saying how stacked the rest of 2022 is with first party games…. Yea but what?
Pokémon - rpg
Xenoblade 3 - action rpg
Advance wars 1+2 - tactical rpg
Mario and rabbids 2 - tactical rpg
New fire emblem game? - trpg
Soooo if you don’t like splatoon 3 good luck to you
