$300 Isn't bad for a console, but I'm a bit concerned about the cost of buying a second tablet. If the materials cost $50 I wouldn't be surprised to see them selling for $100.
I'm just going to point out for those whom try to post otherwise that power, as broad of a term as that is, affects more things than just the graphics. Having an underpowered system means more than just the visuals will be impacted.
Trying to control an MMO with a tablet? No thanks. And then there's the problems Hardy83 mentions which tells me that MMOs are probably good where they are.
@Assassin87 Leading up to the release of the 3DS Nintendo hyped the 3D aspect above all else. Those who bought it a couldn't experience the feature without problems had every right to complain.
Too bad. It'd be nice to see the Fire Emblem games try something different rather than rehash the same thing over and over. I like the games but they're starting to get a bit stale.
I agree 100% with Skyward Sword not picking up the game of the year award but on the other hand I'm baffled to see SM3DL lose to Peggle, of all things.
Oh well. Who takes these things seriously, anyway?
You know, my last boss used to hold our weekly meetings at Hooters until they closed down and he had to change the venue to a strip club. That's when he went from being a good boss to being an awesome one.
It makes you realize how lucky Nintendo is that the Wii took off like it did. They were hemorrhaging market share in the console market through the N64/Gamecube years and then the Wii came and sold a bazillion systems.
Not being able to get credit=not being able to stock some of the top titles. Not stocking top titles=underperforming stores. Underperforming stores=an inability to secure more credit.
Or you could, you know, do actual exercise instead of hoping video games will keep you fitter. Not even Wii Fit is a sufficient replacement for a real exercise regimen (although it's certainly better than nothing).
@TrueWiiMaster There were quite a few more including: Stacking Pacman CE Pacman CE DX Joe Danger Costume Quest Pinball FX Etc., etc, etc. The size limit no doubt played kept dozens of good or even great titles from seeing a Wii release.
I like how some are implying that those who go after achievements are essentially basement dwellers or losers. I'm guessing those posters are powered by a powerful sense of self loathing.
Hulu Plus offers a fantastic selection of shows but the ads always annoyed me too much to become a plus member (and more importantly I already have cable and Netflix).
@Irken Of course they need your credit card for the trial.....so they can charge you if you forget to cancel in time.
Those who are comparing used video game to used car sales or thrift stores selling second hand clothes are putting up a fundamentally flawed argument. Instead of going into a twenty paragraph rant I'll leave it at simply saying you're trying to push a completely different dynamic on the video game industry and expecting it work the same way as it does in those examples. Which it doesn't.
Local multiplayer is awesome and all but people move over the years and priorities shift. That's why online multiplayer is indispensable for many many gamers. I can still stay in touch and play games with friends/family I might only see a few times a year in person.

Re: Going to PAX East? Come Say Hello!
Now I wish i could go just so I could run through the hall screaming "biscuit" at the top of my lungs hoping to find him.

Re: More Black and White Kyurem Details Revealed
He's 10 feet tall dragon and weighs 717 pounds? Poor little anorexic midget dragon.
Re: Gearbox: "No Other Platform Can Do What Wii U Can"
Eh, I'm jaded to developers hyping it. I'm going to need to see something substantial to get excited.
Re: The Mystery of the Super Mario Bros. U.S. Release Date
I always wondered why I've seen different release dates over the years for SMB. Interesting read.
Re: Feature: The Mistakes of the 3DS Launch
@Assassin87
Don't worry, I know where you're coming from. I was just having a bit of fun with my second comment.
Re: Feature: The Mistakes of the 3DS Launch
@Assassin87
Sure, turning it off would help but this is the internet. Complaining is the #1 activity (behind porn, of course).

Re: Resident Evil Revelations Producer Says Series Needs Action for Success
Holy sh*t, he said Call of Duty! Let's now all make wild assumptions instead of actually reading the quote and figuring out what he was trying to say.
Re: More 3D Music Videos On the Way to 3DS
Yay?
Re: Intelligent Systems Rejected Modern-Day Fire Emblem Idea
Too bad. It'd be nice to see the Fire Emblem games try something different rather than rehash the same thing over and over. I like the games but they're starting to get a bit stale.
Re: Looks Like Namco Wants to Sell You One Piece SP 2
@JarvanZheitk
Yeah, that's not true at all. Day one DLC or DLC already included on the disc always takes flak.

Re: SEGA Drops Three Sonic Games from Japanese VC
@bahooney
"Maybe it has something to do with keeping them up there costs more money than they're getting back?"
Doubtful. I imagine the Sonic games are in the top 25% of VC sales.
Re: Mad Dog McCree Takes Aim at 3DS
Not a fan.
Re: Europe's Virtual Console Loses 6 Games This Month
@Hejiru
Licensing expiring would be the most likely cause.
Re: Keiji Inafune Gives Rallying Call to Japanese Developers
I'm just waiting for the inevitable "All Western developers make are FPS titles blah blah blah...." comments.
Oops, too late.
Re: Indie Developer Phil Fish Says Japanese Games 'Suck'
Who cares what he thinks? I just dread the sh*tstorm likely to follow in the comments.
Re: Assassin's Creed III is Coming to Wii U
I'm not surprised that it's hitting the Wii U. Ubisoft is one of few third party developers that has had a lot of success with their games on the Wii.

Re: This is Meloetta, Pokémon Number 648
So....slow news day, huh?
Re: GAME Not Selling Mario Party 9
@Blaze
Really? Ask yourself how many people that would put out of work (in a weak economy, no less) and see if you still feel the same way.
Re: GAME Not Selling Mario Party 9
Not being able to get credit=not being able to stock some of the top titles.
Not stocking top titles=underperforming stores.
Underperforming stores=an inability to secure more credit.
GAME may be entering a death spiral.
Re: Nintendo Rejects The Binding of Isaac
It's a shame. It's actually a good game.

Re: eShop Game Size Limit is 2GB
Nintendo Life may want to update this story to reflect that.

Re: Fire Emblem: Kakusei Cover Art Released
Not a fan of the art. I keep wanting to tilt my head to correct the perspective.
Re: Gearbox Wants As Much Wii U Power As Possible
@Haxonberik
The only 360 that sells for $400 comes with the Kinect packed in as well as two games. I don't see how that's greedy.
Re: Wii U Controller Originally Had Proper Analogue Sticks
Damn. I don't really mind the circle pad on the 3DS but analog sticks feel more responsive.
Re: eShop Game Size Limit is 2GB
Good to see Nintendo is learning from their mistakes.

Re: Team Ninja Reveals Wii U Evolution
The physics in Team Ninja's boob technology is completely unrealistic but the jiggling sure is hypnotic.

Re: NPD Group Reveals America's 2011 Best-Sellers
Glad to see Gears of War 3 made it on the list. Easily the best multiplayer game I've played this year.
Re: UK's Best-Selling Games of 2011 Revealed
Batman: Arkham City was only #10? That's disappointing.
