Looks like they learned from the chocobo GP fiasco, FTP is the way to go with this if it’s seasons and stuff like that. Really looking forward to try it on the Switch!
@Luigivaldo, glad you are finding it fun, loved the chocobos in rollerblades.
But to me, it’s a mediocre karting game at best. I found the controls and driving physics really really really lacking, the tracks and race lines not that exciting and that was not considering the micro transaction shenanigans.
I really really wanted it to be good and I tried my best to like the demo, but I’m happy I did not shell out money on a copy. I would have been really upset.
If you are losing against someone using smart steering, you should check your combo choices and look into improving your driving skills.
With Smart Steering you can’t take shortcuts, do purple sparks, ride super tight bends with two wheels off track or use no mushroom shortcuts, so with a balanced combo with your favorite skills and good driving and use of shortcuts and items, you should be on first with no problem.
What combo are you using? And your Smart steering rival?
Was on my Day 1 list until I saw the battle pass. That was my first red flag.
Then MK8DX new tracks appear, solid buy for me and this was sent to the maybe one day list.
I really wanted to give this a chance so I tried the lite version.
Please avoid like the plague, it feels just like a mobile game with annoying micro transactions advertisement, very limited and the cart and character physics are not good.
Drifting sucks and the Tracks feel like a bad copy of Mario Kart down to the colors and feel of them.
Do yourself a favor, pick MK8DX and the new tracks and let a square know with your money how bad this game was.
And I’m a hard core FF fan, I really wanted to love this.

The game has the look and feel of a mobile game and the fact that they ask you for more money or continuous play to level up is just not acceptable for me.
The drift and character handling mechanics are mediocre at best and it’s just not worth the price. Get MK8DX instead and buy the new tracks.
I have A Secret Sleeping in the Deep Sea from Final Fantasy VII in a loop whenever I need to work quietly and concentrate. I really helps me get in a trance state and zone out the world.

Re: Square Enix Extends Season One Of Chocobo GP
Sorry Square. It was on my day one list until you introduced seasons and micro transactions. I was hyped to play a challenger for MK8 and you blew it.
I hate Disney but I will give a chance to their FTP Racer, at least they are openly honest about wanting your money and grinding.

@Bizzyb Bummer, we’ll probably get the digital version then… or maybe the physical and then buy all the DLC

Re: Review: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - A Triumphant Return To A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Anyone got the deluxe version in physical in the US? I don’t see it available anywhere for pre order, only the standard version.
I wanted to hold off for reviews, but looks like this one will be a solid day one game.

Re: These Gorgeous Hand-Built Pokémon Headphones Will Cost You $500
@Kanbei $500 will get you the lowest Grado headphones worthy of being considered by audiophiles. LOL
These are based on the SR80X, which sound absolutely great (I Own a pair of old SR60's) and probably the only ones that can be used with a phone.
Get them without the Pokemon brand and you can be blown away for $99.00 or $125.00. You will not be disappointed.
