Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X Fans Are Once Again Discussing The Game's 'Censorship'

That-crazy-guy

If not already mentioned before it is worth mentioning that they also changed the original acronym of BLADE. As well as some names. As for BLADE. It's real and original meaning is "Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator"

Meanwhile the western version was "Builders of the Legacy After the Destruction of Earth"

And for all us that's played the game the real acronym makes far more sense. Especially once you learn the truth about your body.

Some name changes of our Dolls/Skells
As for some name changes some of them are.

Wels -> Verus (Originally a Xenogears reference)
Wels.CAIN -> Verus Cain (Again, same as just Wels)

Lynlee Ku was changed to Lin Lee Koo.
(There's other name changes but i don't recall them at the moment)

If anything the only things I want changed is bring back the chest slider. There was no reason to remove it to begin with, and undo all the unnecessary name changes and acronym, name change.

Re: Hype Builds as Nintendo Switch Advertisements Continue to Appear in Stores

@mowerdude "people like me don't care for the portable of the console at all."

Sure you say that now. But I bet the MOMENT, Sony or Microsoft shows off a portable variant (which they will if the switch is successful) of the PS4 and Xbone. ALL of the fan boys and girls are going to be salivating over it.

Then buy it in droves. Which then would make all of them look like hypocrites, because as you said. "people like me don't care for the portable of the console at all."

Yet I bet will buy it if it has a Sony or Xbox label.

Re: More Nintendo Switch Rumours Emerge Online

@OzHuski @Danrenfroe2016 Sadly people are so used to the idea of having 250-500GB Drives that they forget why they even need them in the first place.

Unless you plan on doing great deal of digital downloads or DLCs then you really only need 32GB.

But alas, people will see that small storage space and completely forget that they don't need more unless they really need more.

Like how the Xbox 360 was. Base model (not the arcade) back then only had a 60GB drive. Which was more then enough for updates and a few handfulls of DLCs.

As for the 3hr Battery life with everything at maxim, that sound about what the 'New" 3DS XL does now with everything at maxim. So its not all that bad, also as long as the USB-C rumor is true then a Power bank will be something you might want.

@gatorboi352 Thats really only because you have no choice but to install your games on to the hard drive. Remember you don't NEED to do that with the switch, as the games are on a game card.

Re: Editorial: The Nintendo Switch 'Power' Debate is Likely Missing the Point

That-crazy-guy

@jimi Sadly people are brain damaged and have also forgot that the Old 360 stared with a small Hard drive too and didn't require large installs ether and the biggest drive before it stopped production if I recall was only 250GB.

And here's the kicker...You didn't even need that much space unless you where heavy on the DLCs and digital downloads.

We now have a system (Switch) that has all its info a a game card no installs necessary aside from patches. (assuming they are not installed on the card itself)

Yet people have lost their minds and are saying that 32-128 is too small of storage. Truth is, I think they have just been mentally conditioned to think you need 500GB-1TB. But are completely forgetting they only need all that space because of the installs that are necessary.

In truth though is all just a numbers game now. Most console gamer's don't even know (or care to know) how much of "X" is actually used.

Take PS4 and Xbone 8GB of memory. Yeah that number looks big and impressive, but what they wont tell you is only about 4 of that is for games.

Re: Editorial: The Nintendo Switch 'Power' Debate is Likely Missing the Point

Something people seem to keep forgetting is its not just the power of the switch that will determine whether or not it gets third party games. But also, how well the game is optimised and how well, optimized the chips in the system are.

For example, lets say a game on the Xbox one that requires 1 full Teraflop.(out of its 1.31) But the swicth (with the same game settings 'high' as the Xbox One) could only need 700 Gigaflops.

It's all about optimization.

As for third-party support, I'm pretty sure all the developers that typically put games on the 3DS are just simply going to move over to Nintendo switch.

It won't be immediate, but I'm certain within a year or two that's what'll happen.
