Re: Crimson Dragon Studio Working On Unannounced Project For Nintendo

@Sony_70
Yeah, I died a little inside when I saw it at E3 as an exclusive on Xbox. I've been a Sega fan for so long, seeing it on Microsoft did eat away at me. I even have Panzer Dragoon Saga, what a masterpiece. I can only hope they make something as amazing as that for Nintendo. This would be the type of third party game I would be looking forward to on the Wii U, or whatever they work on.

Sony knocked Microsoft out at this E3, especially at the price point. Based on what I've seen so far Nintendo needs to really bring it. The third party games are becoming to good to ignore on these power houses. Nintendo has to show up with their software, right now Sony's future is looking bright.... for now.

Best presentation from Microsoft in a long time, unfortunately the 500 price tag on top of the possible 70 dollar games while still paying for xbox live, and the always online old game mess Is killing it for me. If Sony comes in with the same thing, Nintendo could have the biggest bounce back in years, but Nintendo needs at least some third party support that can take advantage of its system.

I think Nintendo is basically in reboot mode. It seems all of their games are coming out in the fall as a new launch window. Watching all the promising games being pushed back suggest this to me. They may pull a 3ds and have a price cut with their 1st party games coming out to take away some of the thunder from the PS4 and Xbox720. They may even advertise their console better. As for third party, it will come slowly, but if PS4 and Xbox 720 start struggling to sell, third party might come to Nintendo sooner than later. It basically comes down to what Nintendo does by Christmas.

Re: Talking Point: Review Scores and Unwinnable Arguments

I look at multiple reviews first, then breakdown genre, before I make a decision. Its better to read the reviews before looking at just the score. When a majority of the reviews begin to start sounding the same, then I weight how much that would discourage me from enjoying the game. People would be surprised how many games with average to slightly better scores can be more enjoyable then games that get higher scores. Unfortunately I think their is a biased in reviews for certain genres, but people have opinions, its best to research the game if people are truly interested and think for themselves.

Still being a sega fanboy I'd have to say this was one of the best consoles I've ever played games on. Gunstar Heroes, Comix Zone, Streets of Rage, ToeJam and Earl, Phantasy Star, Shining Force, Herog Zwei, Valis 3, and even Bonanza Bros the list goes on.... you just don't see games like that at retail anymore...

Re: Crytek CEO: "The Notion Of A Single Player Experience Has To Go Away"

Single player experience must stay single player. The more open ended the game the more watered down the story and characters will be in the game. The impact of the game will be sucked dry from the viewer. If anything we need less MMO and random strangers looking over your shoulder, and more focus on presentation story driven experience, not every game is a FPS.

Day one DLC popping up on games like Dragon Age 2 bother me, gives me the impression that the companies never put together a full game. Then they ask us to buy stuff that should have been in the game in the first place. I'm not a fan of being nickel and dime to death, but DLC can be great if it adds to the game not something that should have been in the game in the first place.
