Some of the frustrations mentioned in this review are often elements that are common in the same series of games across many genres. I wonder how someone new to the Rune Factory series would rate Rune Factory 5. I will rent the game first and see how it is before purchasing. The art style reminded me a little bit of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, which is my favorite Wii game (I wish there were more games like this on the Switch)
I bought Cubivore when it was first released and enjoyed the game, I played through the whole game. Challenging at times, my favorite part was some of the soundtrack.
Another good recommendation if you like RPGs is Skies of Arcadia Legends (originally on Dreamcast, though the Gamecube version has more in it).
If you like skateboarding (and anime), Go! Go! Hypergrind was a lot of fun too (sadly very expensive now).
One last recommendation is Goblin Commander (while not console exclusive, I had a lot of fun playing this game back in the day....)
Occasionally every few months still play 3DS online, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Mario Kart 7. If the Mario Party series was online on 3DS, would be playing them more as well.
@Anti-Matter The other consoles do have some great DDR games though my favorite is still Ultramix 2 on Xbox. I also feel sad too that DDR II on the Wii was the last game on consoles. There's supposed to be a new DDR game coming out for smartphones next year, though it's not quite the same. The Xbox/360 DDR games had a great online community and you could talk with everyone too, so it brought us all together. Maybe one day it will come back to consoles
@Anti-Matter I love the Dance Dance Revolution games though the best one is Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 2 on Original Xbox as it had the best song list (in my opinion). I bought the game over 15 years ago and I've been playing it 4 to 5 times a week lately because of its non-stop workout mode. I miss the DDR console games...
@HeroponRiki Rated last month, hopefully more ratings will come in (though difficult to do when many people haven't heard of this game). Glad to see it's close to the top 50 list though!
@fafonio It's my favorite Wii game, the environments are phenomenal. I wish there were more games similar to Fragile Dreams though I haven't encountered any yet. Hope you will get a chance to play it soon!
I was really hoping Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon would make the top 50 list. I think many people still don't know about this amazing game. I couldn't put the game down, really drew me into the world, and the Wiimote had a neat feature where it would also talk to you as well sometimes to notify you of your surroundings.
For anyone who may have sensitivity to light/flashing colors, please look at a walkthrough on YouTube to see if you may be able to handle it before ordering.
The Gamecube version was (and still is) the best AC. Had tons of Nintendo (NES) games you could play inside the game. The fact that there were three other houses that your friends/family could live next to you in the game was cool. My brother and I used to send each other mail and visit one another (our own individual house) in the game.
Genius idea to create a site to have the music play. Extra bonus points if on holidays the game plays holiday music lol. I spent my life on that game. For 2 years, I played and played. Never quite had the same feeling with the future releases.
Animal Crossing 3DS, I'm waiting for, hope it's better than the Wii game (as most people who played the Gamecube and DS games knows that the Wii version was rather disappointing). Hopefully the 3DS version has tons of new features to differentiate itself enough from the other games.
The problem with most sequels is that the ingenuity factor is not as fun as it once was since the idea was already done before. Hopefully Nintendo has created new and exciting features for the 3DS game.
Please try The Kore Gang, don't let the review on Nintendolife or other reviews persuade you from at least experiencing the game.
Have you ever played a game you enjoyed that took many years to develop and struggled to be released? The Kore Gang deserves a second chance.
I personally played the game when it was released in the US. I saw mixed reviews, but I did not let that deter me from trying the game. The game has imaginative levels, cool gameplay elements, and a really fun sense of humor.
@Aviator: Taken from the FAQ on The Kore Gang website: "We need the money to pay the costs for the rewards (cost of goods sold, shipping costs, etc), and we need the money to market the Wii version in the North American market. "

@k8sMum Lol, no I am not a representative. Just a fan of the game and someone who empathizes.
