Re: Wisconsin To Tax Digital Downloads

SilentJ

This was bound to happen. I was actually surprised there was no tax the very first time I downloaded a game. This is fantastic news on top of the California sales tax going up.

Re: Review: LIT (WiiWare)

Review already?!!! I know it takes a while to play through and review a game but I wish reviews would always be posted this quick. I already bought this yesterday but haven't played it. Glad it got at least a 7.

@Shortay
I like your pic. I'm at Rivet City right now trying to finish up a couple missions. The game is just so long!

Re: WiiWare World - Best of 2008

I remember not wanting to have anything to do with FFCC:MLAAK but my brother really wanted it. It ended up being one of my favorite wiiware games. The list was pretty good but I would replace Orbient with either FFCC or Cubello.

Re: Nintendo To Launch Wii Video Service Next Year

SilentJ

I'm sure I'll never use it if we get it. I don't usually watch movies through any consoles anyway but the whole "family-friendly" thing is a definite turn off! I really don't understand why Nintendo can't seem to cater to both children and more mature players. It's ok that they provide soooo much family friendly content but where's the love for the rest of us? Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now. I feel like I'm just kicking a dead horse.

Re: Review: Tiki Towers (WiiWare)

Was there any mention of RealArcade's free game on this site? The game is definitely worth the 500 points but I don't ever want to miss another free game again.

Great review!

Re: Metacritic's Best Wii Games of 2008

SilentJ

I was finally over MaBoShi! It's been so long that I just put it out of my mind. Now I want it again! I've also really been wanting to try Okami. Super Smash was fun but I don't know about #1 of the year. I'm not sure Tetris Party should be on the list. I played it for like an hour and haven't played it since. World of Goo should probably have been #1.

As for Spogs, It really doesn't deserve such a prestigious award. I'd rather destroy my wii than play that piece of cr*p again. I don't even consider it a game. I wish I could sue D2C for putting me through such a horrible experience. I'm scarred for life and feel the pain each time I think back on that dark time of my life. I seriously have never hated anything game related as much as I hate Spogs. I wouldn't play it again if they paid me. I don't even know why I saved it onto my sd card. I'm going to delete it right now.

Re: Review: Fun! Fun! Minigolf (WiiWare)

SilentJ

I'm glad I downloaded this one before the review. I might not have given it a second thought after the review but I'm actually enjoying it. It does get repetative but I still find myself wanting to back to it for a better score. It would be cool if they had more courses though. Also, this seems like it would be a lot of fun playing with other people.

Re: Europe to Get World of Goo This Friday

SilentJ

@RGVEDA
I feel for you. That US only list is pretty long. The best one by far has to be WoG so at least you'll get that one. Gyrostarr was fun but the fact that you can't save your progress is really not cool. Other than that, you're not really missing too much. Orbient and Madstone were also ok.

Toki Tori Rocks!

@PALgamer
Now now, there's no need for anyone to get hurt. Let's agree to meet at a public place for the exchange. We give you World of Goo, you give us MaBoShi. Then we go our seperate ways.

@Killraven
Cubello rocks! I don't know my high score though. I'd have to transfer the game back onto my wii.

Man, I wish we could play directly from the sd card. There are so many times I crave a certain game but then I think about having to decide which game to delete to make room. Then I have to transfer it. The transfers are faster but still annoying. I usually end up just playing what's already on the wii.

@MrPoo6321
Glad to see I'm not the only one wondering where the bleep Animales is. I'm pretty sure it won't be out this year, though I'd love to be wrong.

Re: Review: Strong Bad Episode 5 - 8-Bit is Enough (WiiWare)

SilentJ

@Stuffgamer1
I don't think anyone hates the series. If anything I think most people loved these games. I actually went to the Strong Bad site and watched a couple videos. I was hoping to get really into it so I could get the games but it just wasn't my thing. I hope they release more games in the future for fans of the series. I'm just glad there's more room for other games for now. I might even give Strong Bad another chance once I finish up some of the games I've already started.

Re: Review: Bruiser & Scratch (WiiWare)

SilentJ

I've had more time with this game so I have to say it's not as bad as I originally thought. What I like are the actual puzzles and gameplay. It's a very simple concept and is very challenging. I like these type of puzzle games where you can just sit there and let your brain try to solve the puzzle without having to worry about a time limit.

This game would have been better if it had been released as an ArtStyle game with simple graphics and a low price. What I can't stand is the audio and the characters themselves. While this game is challenging, I feel like I'm playing a game meant for children under 10. I actually turn down the volume on my stereo so the neighbors don't hear that annoying little tune after you complete a puzzle. And what's with the weird bird chirping? It's just a bird chirp but it sounds horrible. You can hear this weird static backround noise whenever the chirp comes in. I'm also not fond of the dialogue you have to read. I don't mind reading but who wrote that stuff?

So, the actual gameplay grew on me. I don't regret downloading it. I just wish it had a completely different look, sound, and price.

Re: Tiki Towers Lined Up For A Christmas WiiWare Launch

SilentJ

This reminds me of Elefunk for ps3. It looks like fun but I think I'll wait for the review before downloading it. Demon212 hasn't posted here for ages but he's still making great video reviews. It was because of him that I even found WiiWareWorld.
