@TAndvig What do you mean? Nintendo just confirmed that they will continue to make full physical releases, so the only thing changing is that third party games on Nintendo consoles will be more and more digital. While nothing as of yet is changing regarding Nintendo games.
I don't get his comments, game key cards is something Nintendo allows third party developers to do because otherwise they would probably only do eshop releases with no physical release at all for Switch 2, while Nintendo themselves don't use game key cards for any of their own games.
Seems Level 5 is breaking up fully with Nintendo. The Switch version of Fantasy life will now come out later than early access for Xbox, PS and Steam. So Nintendo have gone from main partner of Level 5 to now being on a lower level of priority for Level 5 than even Xbox.
@John_Deacon These are only retail sales, Echoes of Wisdom have probably sold over 700k copies in Japan including digital. Which is very good actually for a 2D Zelda game, they sell much less than 3D Zelda games.
FromSoft is not a strong supporter of Nintendo consoles, so i don't think its out of the picture that they don't have a Switch 2 devkit. Also, given that Nintendo is an active player in Japan they probably already had industry info about Sony soon aquiring them, which would permanently lock them out from Nintendo ports anyway.
