@gcunit This actually functions exclusively as an extension of the original dock. Think of it as a decorated usb-c cable. I do that to completely avoid any hardware issues that could lead to something like bricking or any other damage to systems
@Folkloner I can 100% get where you are coming from, its not for everyone which is why I made the amiibo slot optional as well as the switch cutout itself optional as well. That way you have choices, even if you just want the island as a cool figure
@TheLobster @RyanCraddock I can't believe I miscounted my own model xD I guess I'm the one who can't count. But I guess if you include the slot in the switch itself that totals out to 6!!!
@Arcamenel @SmaggTheSmug Fortunately I actually have tested with my own switch since the latest update and the cable I use does not brick the switch at all. It mainly just works as a USB-C extender that allows this to become the new dock with a simple connection to the old one @ryancraddock is there any chance you could add this to the article somewhere so people can know that it won't damage their switch?
@Ricube That makes sense, that's actually a SUPER easy thing to fix. I have already adjusted the model now and more of the image is visible now. Not so much that the whole picture is visible but enough that you can see what game it is.
@Heavyarms55 Nope! There are vents in the back of the dock portion so that it can breathe freely. Its supposed to sit open when running the console and closed when not in use since the joy cons pretty much need line of site to see the console and the pro controller is laggy when there is something in the way.
A couple of youtubers have already reached out to me to do videos that feature it and have them in the mail to them so you should be able to see some cool vids to get a better idea
@Heavyarms55 Ooooo thats actually a fun idea! I just might make something like that. Maybe a pokeball dock that opens up to show the switch slot inside? I already made a BUNCH of custom cases for the switch too and one of them is pokemon themed (I messaged @ryancraddock about maybe doing another article about them). Lemme know what you think!
Thank you SO SO SO much for sharing my shops item! Such an honor! I wanted to let you all know that the item actually CAN be shipped internationally! I have updated the listing to say this but all you need to do is send me a message on etsy and I can make a custom listing for anyone interested in international shipping with the matching shipping costs and location

Re: Play Animal Crossing: New Horizons In Style With This Adorable Island Switch Dock
@ImagineerNik I actually offer this as a solid diorama as well and it's discounted too since the internal wiring isn't necessary as a result

@Ricube Can I ask what you mean with a game card holder and that it hides the picture of the game? Maybe I can make adjustments to it

Re: Awesome: Check Out This Amazing Super Mario Odyssey-Themed Switch Dock
@Heavyarms55 Just so you know I made the pokeball dock that we were talking about and it came out even better than I could've imagined. Its retro on the outside and high detail on the inside. It holds 5 games, an amiibo and works as a dock the same way this dock works. https://www.etsy.com/listing/587801872/pokemon-pokeball-nintendo-switch-dock-w?ref=shop_home_feat_4
