If the official Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch system isn't quite your thing, perhaps this fan-made New Horizons-inspired Switch dock will do the trick?
This 3D-printed rendition of your new island getaway serves as a complete docking station for your Nintendo Switch console. Made from ABS plastic, the dock actually comes with an extender cable which goes from your console to the original, official dock, and can therefore also be used to charge a Switch Lite. You can see how it works in the images below.
It gets better still, though, because it has a spot to place your favourite amiibo for further decoration, and you can even choose your favourite season and have it decorated to match.
If you're wanting to get your hands on one, you can find the link below (shipping is available worldwide). The dock is available on Etsy from a seller named Senpai3D - someone we've actually featured on the site before thanks to their similarly wonderful Switch dock creations for Zelda: Link's Awakening and Super Mario Odyssey.
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the design? We can't believe we're only a couple of weeks away from New Horizons' launch date.

Would be more interested in just a diorama piece. Seems pointless as a dock.
Yours, for only 1,980,000 bells
@ImagineerNik I actually offer this as a solid diorama as well and it's discounted too since the internal wiring isn't necessary as a result
Oooh, unofficial docks! With all the peace of mind guarantees about your Switch hardware included, no doubt?
@Senpai3D Niiiiiice. You're on it.
@gcunit This actually functions exclusively as an extension of the original dock. Think of it as a decorated usb-c cable. I do that to completely avoid any hardware issues that could lead to something like bricking or any other damage to systems
@Senpai3D Good luck with it.
Please make a Metroid themed dock, and a Metroid Switch game while you are at it.
Aw, that's adorab-- 110 dollars! Okay, it's not that adorable.
@Mountain_Man Its actually on sale at the moment for less than $100 and has free shipping anywhere in the US
@Senpai3D Still overpriced. Sorry.
It's really nice looking but I'd prefer something that makes it look like the Switch should be there. This one looks like an AC town where someone built a house sized statue of a Switch - which doesn't make a lot of sense.
@Heavyarms55 I don't think there's a '2001: A Space Odyssey' game coming any time soon.
Unless you mean something like the WarioWare crew using the back of it as a chalkboard for game ideas and drawings (that you apply as stickers), a brick decal that makes it look like a Mario level, or a wall of an Animal Crossing house, or an F-Zero/Mario Kart/Punch Out big-screen.
@KingBowser86 Well I could see a Switch dock made like Samus' arm cannon with the Switch connected to it like a terminal. Or maybe a Pokemon dock with the Switch acting like the screen of a Poke-dex.
It looks like it would scratch the screen and of course we cant have that.
After seeing the nipples on the [right hand] trees I just can't un-see them. lol You know you saw it too, admit it.
Made of £428 worth of plastic...
So it's a dock extender that's also a dock. I actually bought a dock extender to avoid overheating solid item to have.
@Heavyarms55 All of these custom Switch docks are like that. Idyllic scenes from games and then suddenly it's like Attack of the Giant Switch Monster right in the middle. Definitely doesn't look quite right.
Looks pretty nice.
