"Surprisingly good" fits the most. I never played CoD4 yet - besides the PC demo once - and I am very surprised how good it looks, controlls and plays on the Wii.
The MP is the best and deepest online multiplayer you can get for the Wii right now.
Wi-Fi duels and campaign co-op, wii-speak pilot chat (one reason to buy the damn thing) and motion+ controlls (+nunchuck?) like in WSR... and unlockable Krystal pin-up posters please ^^
Sports games dont have it easy on the Wii, because you will miss the almost realistic HD quality these games can show on the PS3 / 360 and their much better online modes.
The only way a sports game can be better on the Wii is the way how they are using the remote and WM+. Grand Slam Tennis might look cartoony, but it plays, controlls and sounds great and comes with one of the best online modes on the Wii (not that does mean much).
Tiger Woods 10 Wii got high reviews all around and combined "normal", serious graphics with the possibly best sport controlls ever.
And Madden ? I dont know the typicly Madden player, but I ask myself if they can get well with these even more cartoony graphics then in GST and eased down gameplay mechanics.
The next "lets get different on Wii" test by EA is going to be ,the very important in europe, FIFA 10. Lets see how that one will sell.....
The Spore Hereos game looks fun (in the videos), but the developer also failed at beeing excited or doing a well presentation in the IGN-Videopreviews about the game.
@ Pixelman : I know what you mean about MP3. Bryyo is visually horribly boring, aswell as most of the land in MP2...
But keep playing: every planet beyond the frist looks great and also changes the "primary" colour.
MP1 does a nice job by giving every setor its own colour and look. You will see green rainforrest like regions, a blue and icy one, yellow-brownish ruins, red lava caves, industrial areas, an underwater section and much more.
Sure, we might be very skilled in "wanking it up" - and lots of Wii Fit games can be fooled easily too - but where is the reason to cheat on yourselfs training stats ?
Unlike eating chips all day while leveling your pokemans (like I do ;-P ) that might be the most stupid yet awesome alternative to get your ass outside.
Ask myself if it would also work while riding your bike...
The idea even might have worked better in a fullscale Wii retail game... But I will get this version anyway because I love that kind of games and Pokemon offer a great world and combat system for it.
[Fanboy]The games should have got a 10/10. Sure, G/S are even better, but that doesnt make the original games less worthy for an 10/10 score.[/Fanoby]
What sucks in the DS versions is that the pokemon got so damn ugly. I even dont like the starter ones - cant imagine to play the next 200 hours with one of that guys...
In europe, the game is only out in the UK right now AFAIK. I had to import it from there... Really sucks that the game doesnt get the promotion (and sales) it would deserve!
I liked the game back then. I think it was a birthday present and one of the last games we got for the NES.
At first, I was dissapointed at the second I realized it was nothing else then a puzzle game - and the damn yoshi isnt even seen in 90% of the game :[. A fair try later, I went well with it and had my fun for a long time solving all puzzles, watching the funny cutscenes and pwning my brother in multiplayer.
Tested this one on a girl friends DS and bought Explorers of Time because I liked the grindy concept and idea of directly controlling a team of pokemon.
Sure, the "Explorers" games still have a lots of flaws and still looks like a GBA game (but the graphics improved on a level of a Golden Sun now) but if you that kind person who likes to grind your party up because you can use that awesome spell 17 remaining level ups later, enjoy find out the best working combination out of four pkmn and can enjoy a childish but surprisingly interesting story about time travel and misinformation - then you might enjoy that game.

Re: Prime Yourself for More Metroid
I realy liked Metroid Prime : Hunters. Spend the time mostly with all kinds of bot matches.
Re: Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex (Wii)
Cant play MW2, but it think it goes some strange ways:
Shooting while riding a snow mobile ? Thats so James Bond...
The USA getting invaded from Russia ? Red Dawn and 80s cinema anyone ?
MW feels at last plausible.

Re: Yoshi's Cookie
I wish I would have got this one instead of Warios Woods for my VC...
Re: Review: Metroid (Virtual Console / NES)
I had a bad start with the game, around 2002, and I would have given it a similar score.
But, after giving it a fair try again in 2009 and forgeting about all the gaming comforts I used to like after 1986 I truly began to love this game.
I finished it several times, without maps or anything, collected 100% of the items once and even did a decent casual speed run (both bosses) on it.
For modern players this game is very flawed. From a NES perspective it should get a 9/10.
Re: It's Official: Big-Screen DSi LL is Confirmed
I have to replace my DS L with this one !
Re: Here Are Those 3 New DSi Colours You Wanted
Sometime I hope my silver DS L "dies" so I "have to" buy a new DSi - in this case the dark blue one ^^
Re: Starfox: To be, or not to be?

Best gamer ever.

Re: Review: Driift Mania (WiiWare)
That game looks like some good fun
Re: Review: River City Ransom (Virtual Console / NES)
Got it right now. It is very charming and fun. I love to grind my dude up for some ass kicking ^^
The save system is a pain-in-the-*$$ password system. Thx god we can save via Wii.
Re: Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II
I got used to StarTropics grid based controlls. Atleast you only ned correct timing to place your jumps
To see Mike in diagonal movement is almost alienating me lol.
Re: Review: Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii)
That game gave me headaches when played on a TV and I had to sell it. It was fun, no question, but exhausting after some minutes.
Somehow, I want to try it out on the DS again....
Re: Review: Grand Slam Tennis (Wii)
Compared to other reviews (and the GST score) VT09 seems overrated here.
Re: Review: Virtua Tennis 2009 (Wii)
Strange that so many reviews read like "GST > VT09" or vice versa like in this example.
I decided for GST after comparing game play videos because of the spot on crowd reactions and smoother animations.
Re: Lead the Meerkats Coming To WiiWare
This game has potential. I just hope there is a zoom funcion to get a better view on that cute meerkats.

I watched the video the first time now, and damn was it strange...

Re: Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail
Bad box art, no marketing and no europe release and every one else is in Mario Kart.
Shares a smimilar fate with Disaster: Day of Crisis.

6/10 is a fair score.
