Re: Feature: Super Nintendo World's Show Producer And Head Chef Shed Light On The New Park's Development

My partner was in LA when it first soft opened for previews. She went on a very wet Saturday and it was very quiet. I'm incredibly jelaous although the people she was with were not super interested other than doing the ride so they didn't spend much time looking around. Still she said its very cool and transportative/immersive. It's also a shame that there's 0 vegan items- this seems to be a bigger issue across the Hollywood Park vs the Orlando counterpart so I'm hopeful the version in Epic Universe will have something.

Re: Talking Point: Given The Voice Artist Controversy, Will You Be Boycotting Bayonetta 3?

RiderSkyward

I get the disgruntlement for the VA but it's a thing you take to or make a union for and rally your fellow VA workers into- not the public. So many other people have worked on this too that will have massively been underpaid. It's the equivalent of people boycotting nearly any and all films because of the unfair pay to VFX artists. It's a Media industry issue (perhaps an American issue?) in general around lack of unions.

Re: Rumour: Epic Universe Theme Park Construction Has Some Dreaming Of A Pokémon Land

As soon as I saw the title I thought to myself someone at Nintendo life must be a fan of Alicia's videos. The channel is also theme park STOP, not shop.

@gamer_Zeus- you are just talking about the games, TPC already have a deal with universal and the rest of the franchise actually has tons of effort put in in various ways. Sadly Game Freaks output is a where the heartbreak lies for many.

Re: Poll: What's The Best Pokémon Game Ever?

Heart Gold and Soul Silver for me. Gen 4 was excellent and the remakes of my previously favourite games (Gold) were both nostalgic and fabulous upgrades. X and Y are hands down the worst mainline games for me. I like a lot of the pokemon but the story was so forgettable and so much of it feels unfinished. Sapphire was my previous worst til those games, but I was surprised by how much I genuinely enjoyed alpha sapphire.

Re: Competition: Win These Super-Rare Monster Hunter Rise Golden amiibo (UK)

I have tried desperately to get into the series since MH3 ultimate which I purchased for both wiiu and 3DS- but I never have managed to get on with the various games. For me, the best moment is finally being able to play online and make my way through the solo story content too and it's all down to the tweaks and QoL improvements on the existing formula. Now I don't have to watch these amazing monsters from a far- I can get stuck into the battles and just have a blast!

Re: Review: Monster Sanctuary - A Pokémon / Metroidvania Mashup For Number Lovers

@twztid13 I wouldn't say so as such- there's a combo system to the moves- the higher the combo the more the damage is multiplied. The brute force moves will only do 1 hit for a lot of damage and don't usually include buff/debuffs. Weaker moves will do less damage but times a higher number and therefore boosting any moves after. These often come with debuffs that will add an additional attack or status effect like burn or poison.

It really depends on what monster you are fighting and how you build your team.

I very rarely comment on the internet- but as a huge fan of monster taming games I have to say that this is excellent. I feel the review is a little misleading in regards to the battles. They can be long, but when you get a good strategy going you can blast through some in as little as 3 turns. I have found it really does come down to strategy and is almost chess like in that regard. This is coming from someone who struggles to get to grips with competitive pokemon too!

Highly recommended and personally finding it very addictive.
