They should do away with Paper Mario and make an RPG with different Nintendo characters similar to Super Mario RPG. They already have them fighting each other in the Super Smash Bros. series, why not fighting together against old and new threats? The possibilities are endless. No? Oh well, I can dream.
The thing I hate most about the New Super Mario Bros. games is that they're far too easy. The least they could do is make some of their games a bit harder.
@CrispyGoomba
-sigh- It's Nintendo. They won't include that stuff because they'll feel it's too similar to Sony and Microsoft and we all know they like to do things differently than those two.
@aaronsullivan
I had an explanation saying that it sounds like he said Mario was saving Daisy from Donkey Kong but then I deleted it for some reason. xD. But now that I hear it again, he probably meant saving Daisy from Tatanga in Super Mario Land.
@aaronsullivan You know, when you hear it being said right after the Donkey Kong part it's easy to think he made a mistake. You are correct, though. My apologies.
I'm gonna call it right now.
If anyone is gonna get cut, I say:
1.Toon Link
2.Wolf (I could actually see him staying and having his moves changed)
3.Ike (Probably going to be replaced by a different character from Fire Emblem)
4.Lucario (Probably going to be replaced by a different Pokemon)
5.Snake
6.Sonic (Hopefully not)
I seriously doubt Falco, Ness, Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff, Mr. Game & Watch and Marth are going to be cut considering they've been in at least 2 of the other games.
@Bulby
I agree. I'm surprised they never used his magic attack that you have to reflect back at him from Ocarina of Time. Also, it'd be cool to have him transform into his Ganon form from A Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time in the same way that Zelda transforms into Sheik but that's probably asking for too much. I really wonder how they decided to make him similar to Captain Falcon.
@CaptainSquid I agree but at the same time, I'd rather have her than some of the other characters from Brawl. I'm sure we all have a character or two that we don't care for. They should just do a poll and stick with the results. Unless there's already a poll somewhere that I don't know about in which case, I retract said statement.
@Ren
"So if things had gone differently and they released a POWERFUL Wii HD with wiimote controls only, you people wouldn't have run out and gotten that?"
"How is this article ignorant or misinformed or anything like that? Nothing is off here. It isn't being used well in upcoming games (or current ones), and it's not selling well, straight up observations."
I agree with this except I prefer traditional controls. I couldn't care less for motion control. I bought the Wii for Nintendo's strong first party titles and I would've bought whatever next-gen system they came out with even if it didn't have the gamepad.
@X-Factor Arg, I wasn't saying they should name it Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy. I was saying that since those games obviously had 3D worlds, environments and gameplay, they didn't need the "3D" in the title.
@X-Factor
It's safe to assume that "Super Mario 3D Land" was named that because it was playable in 3D. Why did they need to name this game "Super Mario 3D World"? They couldn't have just called it "Super Mario World" because that's already been done. Adding the "3D" in there based on the 3D environments is just silly. They might as well have done that for all of their other games. "Super Mario 64 3D", "Super Mario 3D Galaxy", etc, etc. I think it's time for them to come up with new names instead of adding "3D" and "New" in front and in between everything.
@DarkCoolEdge
You sort of forget the Wii U has a gamepad while watching these new trailers.. I think this game could easily be a Wii game except it wouldn't be in HD. Hopefully they come out with a way to use the gamepad for these games that'll really turn some heads.
"Tezuka also provided assurances that the team is looking into the title's difficulty balance, after some accusations that Kirby's Epic Yarn was 'too easy'." I never played Epic Yarn but I'm not sure why people were complaining, the Kirby games are always low in difficulty.

"I hope 3D Mario games dont go back to single player cause the multiplayer is what sells the series."
What? Single player Mario games do just fine.

Melee is faster.

I get what you're saying but I don't think it makes sense to compare Brawl with Super Mario 3D World.

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th June (North America)
Seems like a lot of people are happy with this week. Still waiting for Super Mario Bros. 3 to play on my 3DS.
Re: Sakurai Aiming To Please "The Silent Majority" With New Smash Bros.
It seems like there are more casual Smash players than competitive considering how many people prefer Brawl over Melee..
Re: Weirdness: The Roots Perform an Awesome Mario Rap on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
Did anybody notice he said "and tryina save Daisy was makin' him crazy"?
Other than that little mistake, it was pretty impressive.

No kidding. People seem to forget about Nintendo's handhelds when they say stuff like "Nintendo is doomed if Wii U fails."
Re: Iwata: We Are To Blame For Poor Wii U Sales

You're so spot on.
Re: Kingdom Hearts III Highly Unlikely To Appear On Wii U
What a shame.. It seems like a waste to release it on the XBox One and not the Wii U.

This and Zelda in the same month? What a great birthday gift. Thanks, Nintendo!
Re: Sakurai: New Super Smash Bros. To Strike A Balance Between Hardcore And Casual

That's the number one reason why I hated Brawl.
I wonder if a stamina bar would ever work in Super Smash Bros.

Alright, fair enough.
Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World
@Kirk
I was referring to the fact that it isn't viewable in 3D like 3D Land was..
Re: First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World
@The_Joker
But it isn't in 3D.. Surely they didn't name it the "3D" series based on the fact that the environments were 3D..

Re: Nintendo Confirms That Yarn Yoshi Just Wasn't Ready to be Shown Off at E3

Seriously? I thought they couldn't make Kirby games any easier, looks like I was wrong. I probably won't even bother with Yarn Yoshi.

Oh, you're right. My bad, I managed to miss that part.
Re: Super Mario 3D World is "The Grand Culmination" of The Best Ideas From Past 3D Mario Titles

I'm betting that only Mario is playable during one player runs just like New Super Mario Bros. Wii..
Re: Kensuke Tanabe: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is "Kind of a Road Movie"

I'd like to use Kiddy's water skip technique again. If I remember correctly, there were only a couple times where you needed to use it.
Re: David Wise Returns To Compose The Soundtrack To Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze

I agree. Bramble Blast is one of my favourites.

Same here..
@SparkOfSpirit
I agree, Funky makes sense. Cranky seems like he wouldn't be much help.

I wonder who the other playable character will be.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Drifting Onto Wii U in Spring 2014
I wonder if there will be any new power ups. Thwomp would be nice, it could crush other players and stop them momentarily.
Re: Video: Yoshi's New Island E3 Trailer
Does anybody else think the name is kind of weird?
Re: Super Mario 3D World Coming To Wii U This December
On the bright side, at least it's not called "Super Mario 3D Land U"! Also, Nintendo sure LOVES their flagpoles...
