Re: FAQ: Your Super Mario 3D Land Questions

The hub worlds of some Mario games are overwhelming to me, I feel like the game is too large to attempt completing. The linear map of Galaxy 2 showed me up front everything I completed and what was next, I don't see why it needs to be hidden away in rooms in a hub world. I believe I will enjoy this game more than either Galaxy games, partly because of the linear maps and overall streamlined feel the game seems to have.

Re: Robin Williams and Zelda Team Up for Four Swords Adverts

@warioswoods: The second has a shorter sequence of Robin v. Zelda and cuts some dialogue and facial reactions. For example when Zelda says "You lose!" Robin does not scream "OOOOHHH" in the second advert. The information is also more elaborate in the second advert, the man mentions playing wirelessly with up to 4 players. It also mentions the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda and that Four Swords is a "gift copy." I'm pretty sure I got all the differences...

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition (DSiWare)

Having never played it before this week and only having played single player, I'd give this game a 6. Compared to other brilliant Zelda games (see Minish Cap and the DS series) the level design wasn't too great and the first play-through was almost mind-numbingly boring. The only reason I even completed the first play-through is because I have nothing else to play on my 3DS. Even if the stages change or increase in difficulty, there is no real incentive to continue. I imagine this game would be much more fun with co-op, but I don't have the means for that. Overall I think this may have been great when it was released, but if it hadn't have been free I would be very dissatisfied with the download.

Re: 3DS Second Circle Pad Formally Announced

@124: And by disappointed I mean pissed. I felt safe buying a 3DS now because I didn't think Nintendo would be so misguided as to release an entirely new 3DS now, but now I have woken up and the price drop and this add-on have me thinking differently. I might buy a new 3DS in 2013. Not in 2012.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Makes Bold Move with the 3DS

Whether or not it was absolutely necessary, it almost guarantees a strong Holiday season. The bottom line is that the average consumer doesn't care whether or not Nintendo looks weak by cutting the price, they will just be happy the device is so much cheaper. Affordability + great new games = $$$
