Re: Sony: 3D Handheld Gaming Might Not Work

No console wars, I am a PS3 owner. I was talking about the negativity surrounding the 3DS in general, including coming from Nintendo fans.

People really didn't understand the DS at first, it sounded like a crazy idea and people likened to the Virtual Boy. Sound familiar?

And while the DS has a large range of age when its comes to users, I understand there are probably more kids. But are people really worried that kids won't like/be able to play the 3D games? All I know is my nephews would eat that stuff up, I guess I can't speak for all kids.

A lot of the negativity surrounding 3DS reminds me of when the original DS was announced..... "2 screens, how can you play using two screens??? you can't use them both at the same time!!"....

I have a feeling 3DS will own E3 this year.

Re: DS Successor Could Offer 3D Gaming

1) Two screens, with virtually no seam between them when open
2) Screens are higher resolution, but exact resolution is unknown
3) Powered by nVidia Tegra
4) Roughly as powerful as a Gamecube, and apparently similar to program for
5) Uses carts - believed to be same size as DS/DSi carts, only with different guts
6) Due out in 2010 in at least one territory

None of this is confirmed, and I really doubt it will be out this year in any region.

The problem is it sounds like PhoenixRising has never played the game... if you play it and hate it then fine, but arguing a score one way or another without actually playing it makes little sense.

Re: Nintendo Wins Another Piracy Court Case

So lets say he walked into the store and stole a few thousand copies of New Super Mario Bros Wii. Then proceeded to give them out to whoever for whatever reason. Would people still say Nintendo is being too harsh?

People lose their jobs because of piracy. Corporations aren't just giant machines.

Breaking the law is breaking the law. You can't pick and choose which ones you think are important enough to punish. They all get different prison sentences (or none at all), which is why we have judges.
