I don't think nintendo directs are dead, I think that maybe they're waiting until covid blows over before they do another one again. I don't see how they can't just announce games without using live action footage which is probably why they're holding off on directs.

I really hope that this is true. They are way overdue for a direct and if this rumor is true, I really don't know why they decided to wait until after AC comes out to make a direct. It doesn't make any sense, what makes them think that a direct would ruin its sales? They never done this before and because of this, we are going to probably have a terrible H1.

I hope there's a lot of new games in there and not just ports and remasters. I don't want another 2018 especially after this long ass wait.

@mesome713 I think it's the stupidest and weirdest marketing decision they ever made. They should not have left us waiting for almost 7 months to get a direct. They did directs before big games, I don't know why all of a sudden, they're apparently so concerned about doing a direct before AC comes out.

I'm hoping for BOTW 2. I don't know about Mario Odyssey 2, it's possible but it hasn't even been teased.

Please God I hope this does not mean that Skyward SWord is coming to switch.

@fortius54 Oh, I know they're going to prove you wrong. They never went without a direct for first quarter.

@Kainbrightside I'm always curious what games they're going to bring out.

@mesome713 There is no confirmed Metroid in the making besides Prime 4 and since its development got restarted, I wouldn't expect it until at least next year. Less likely but if lucky, they'll announce a release date for this year since it said that more games can join the list.

@Ulysses I don't know why some people are thinking we have to wait til E3 for another direct. Nintendo has NEVER did their first directs after April. I know there's going to be some kind of direct before April it's just a matter of when.

Please have a nintendo direct out already, Nintendo.

Also really curious whether or not we'll see BOTW again in it and a release year.

I think BOTW and FOrtnite are overrated af to be honest.

@Grumblevolcano I still have hopes that it might come out 2020 holiday at the earliest. I think it being at the game awards was possible but not 100% likely. I think it might get revealed more in the next nintendo direct.

@sikthvash Okay first of all, nothing's perfect and second of all, I don't think 2020 or 2021 are rushed. The game has been in development for two years now and it's reusing the same assets and engine. I don't think it's going to take that long unless it gets delayed.

@Flowerlark sorry. I didn't intend to baby you I just don't know you and I don't know how poor or rich you are. I'm 21 and I still ask my family for Christmas gifts. That's the spirit of Christmas is giving people what they want or something they may like. Same for birthdays. I'm not saying you aren't capable of buying something yourself.

@brunojenso Really hope that it would be at this year's game awards but I also wonder if they can put traditional controls in for Metroid Prime 3 considering that they implied that it would be hard to transition wii motion controls to switch motion controls with skyward sword.

@Flowerlark Why is that necessary? I mean it's possible but just play them on the Wii U and if you don't have a Wii U then why not go ask your parents to go buy you a wii u for Christmas then.

Guys, stop saying it's a 3D title. They said 2D not 3D. So any 3D game is out of the question. And stop saying Skyward Sword needs to be remastered, that game has such a sucky story and characters it's not even going to be a good remaster.
