Re: Soapbox: Wave Race 64 Is Now 25 Years Old, And It Still Rules

I was absolutely bedazzled by the graphics on this game as a 13 year old gamer back when it released in November of 96! Still holds up well. THAT SOUNDTRACK.... still stuck in my head all this time. 25 years is too long to wait for a worthy follow up to one of my all time favorite Nintendo 64 games. Unfortunately Blue Storm I have to pretend didn't exist because it lacked the polish and refined control the original had. I wanted to love it, gave it so many chances but it always lacked the magic and polish of the original. I always blamed that on the fact that the sequel was developed by Nintendo Software Technology and not Nintendo EAD themselves. I can only hope one day, maybe years from now, Nintendo will make a worthy follow up.

Agree with many games on this list, love to see Sunshine remade. I'm seriously thinking I'm the only one but I love the criminally overlooked Snowboard kid games on N64... I'll never understand why they still don't get their due... Would love to see them remade in HD and online!
