@Smash_kirby What open world game has been able to run at a steady 60 frames per second? Honestly, Fallout 4 on my PS4 doesn't look all that great and the framerate still frequently dips into the low 20's pretty much at random. At least Xenoblade Chronicles X is able to hold a rock solid 30 frames per second while flying at 60+ miles per hour.
The Wii U could definitely run this game but maybe the architecture is too different for them to get this game out on time? Or if they simply lack the manpower to do so; remember, technical reasons does not necessarily equate to lack of power.
@A01 In one of the Japanese pre-release short stories it is stated that the cars are actually holograms that are supposed to make NLA residents feel more at home.
@TheKachoMan You make a very, very good point with what you just said. Thank you for bringing up the overlooked fact that they were trying to make money (even though it's charity) from Nintendo's IP without asking permission. That means that the EVO people are actually in the wrong here, even though Nintendo's legal staff may have acted too hastily.
@LzQuacker I never said that Nintendo is terrible, I actually think the EVO situation has been blown way out of proportion; but, Nintendo's legal department does needs to know that threatening to shut down a charity event is completely unacceptable. Look, their legal department does a really good job at defending Nintendo from lawsuits but you have to admit that threatening to shut down a whole tournament because they want to stream people playing a 12 year old game is bit of an overreaction.
There is one glaring flaw with your argument. This is not a remake, it's a HD remaster. HD remasters are just games that are taken and upscaled to HD. Remakes take an old game and completely overhaul it and give it a new engine, visuals and new features.

Nintendo needs to re-educate their legal department so they won't make such boneheaded decisions.
