@BenAV
Oh lordie you are on another level
I'm still at the point where that massively outclasses me and i have no idea how I'm going to overcome it XD but hey i thought that about many songs at one point or another before i FC'd them. I am also only able to manage S+ and not S++ and i've never gotten a perfect even on easy but hey I'll get there one of these days XD especially if I imagine you were not a god at the game at the start (nah you probably were who am I kidding)

All the galgun articles made me crave a bit of 'fun' so i've been playing Moero Chronicle. I also noticed in one of the comment sections of this site that Nexomon added custom playthroughs with one of their updates (thankyou whoever that was) that enables you to pretty much do randomisers and nuzlockes among many other things, so I randomised the starters and am doing the first legit 'locke of my life in between rubbing adorable monster girls. Come on Pokemon how hard would it be to do this?!

Re: Talking Point: What We're Hoping To See In Today's Nintendo Direct

Nintendo_Pone

This is the one time I'm not specifically hoping to see anything since I'm the one person who is satisfied with the games on switch/ones that are releasing shortly, but that's mostly down to the fact that I am enjoying so many 3rd party and indie titles on it that I have missed over the years as a result of only ever owning Nintendo consoles. Not only that, I feel like I have all the first party titles i ever would want really since I'm not a big fan of the missing ones, So any surprise at all will make me happy really but if not that's cool too! (I'm already drowning in my backlog as is)not that a new direct isn't always a fun time of course!

This has more than enough discussion so I don't know why I am commenting. I do believe if you do not favour the genre that you can still see the positives in the game and look at it objectively, even if a fan of these games does seem like a better fit, at least you get a perspective of the gameplay at a base level. I absolutely SUCK at platformers for example and did not get on with Celeste at all, but I can see that it is still a fantastic game for those who enjoy that kind of thing. It is possible that this fan servicey game really skimped on gameplay and had many flaws regardless of the reviewer's own biases, and that comes from the perspective of someone who owns Senran Kagura peach ball, both Moero games and Omega Labyrinth life on her switch.

Edit added:
The notion that someone who plays risque games must be a paedophile or 'there must be something wrong with them' is utterly ridiculous as well, same goes for anyone who enjoys violent games you don't see either of those groups applying that or even thinking along those lines in real life, it is FICTION. And, in the odd case where these things do happen, (acting out or being inspired by what they have seen in video games, or other media) there was something wrong with THEM in the first place long before they even got hold of the media and are not a fair portrayal of 99% of people that enjoy these things and are just normal people enjoying the things they like.

I think i'm the only person that enjoyed the last 'Harvest Moon' game and isn't really liking where the story of seasons franchise is going currently (I feel like they are going backwards in just about every department) The last game I loved fully was the original SOS on 3DS. I agree with @Broforce. With the switch's power they could more than easily achieve something akin to AWL aesthetically, but i feel they are skimping at every opportunity in order to pump out the games more quickly, or in this games case, taking Stardew's heavy customisation and marketing it as a new thing. I used to look forward to the releases, it didn't bother me about the several year gap in between because I knew I was getting quality and hundreds of hours of playtime, Now however, it seems like i just can't keep up with the amount of farming sims dropping, hell Doraemon SOS literally dropped without me knowing and these games were my first gaming love in life besides pokemon and AC. Regardless I still love these games and I will buy them both but if Bokojo in particular don't up their game they may lose me as a long time fan. But I am trying hard to keep an open mind for both farming games in march, which one I prefer will be proven by my hour count on them I guess,

Following the release of Atelier Ryza 2 I realised the first one was still sealed on my backlog shelf... whoops!
So I decided to behave myself for once and am playing it before I buy the sequel. Spoiler alert I am 100% getting it after I've beaten it!

Absolutely adore the direction they are taking the franchise, I just could not finish any of the previous titles because of my terrible time management, that and I feel they completely miss the point of being relaxing RPG's when you have the clock looming over you. Filthy casual? maybe but I don't care.

Ryza and her friends are great and I am actually enjoying all the cutscenes and character interactions instead of being frustrated with the cringy writing of the previous games, if the second one is just this but better I am a very happy bunny.
Dunno how long it will last me but I'm taking my sweet time with it because I am enjoying the experience so much.

If I do need a little breather over the weekend however there's always Deemo to fall back on, 35 hours into that thing and have achieved nothing XD
