@Ventilator I mean yeah but overall their exclusives have been their biggest selling points, not their consoles themselves. That's why they're willing to push out underpowered consoles like the Wii or GameBoy but pack in some neat gimmicks and a decent price tag and get people interested anyways. The Wii U and Virtual Boy didn't just fail because the console wasn't that great, they really didn't get that much support near the beginning of their lifecycles (or for the Virtual Boy, any support at all) in terms of marketing and must-buy titles. The Steam Deck has a lot of games and IPs going for it. Like, a lot. But it'll never have MarioKart. Or Smash Bros. Or Animal Crossing. So it'll always be a step behind when it comes to appealing to slightly more casual markets or the fans of Nintendo franchises. (Which there are a lot of. Ever hear of Pokémon?)
@Tantani I feel like the magic of Celeste is lost a bit without the super expertly designed levels and the story arc, so a level editor would be a bit better as DLC or a free update than a full-fledged sequel.
@YonVonBlett I personally think Nintendo shelved the idea of a Switch Pro sometime around 2018 as demand for the console went up, not wanting to make the current large install base of the Switch feel like they are using an inferior console. If they started focusing on specs it might bring to light the flawed specs of the Switch compared to the Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5.

@Ventilator
"Switch is miles behind Steam Deck too on hardware, I wonder how Nintendo will solve this."
