Thanks a lot Ollie for sharing the news! By the way, the game developer (from Detroit, US) volunteered in this same Japanese tea farm several years ago so he had the idea of offering a bundle in this giveaway. As the publisher on Switch, I found this idea very wholesome! Good luck all
Hello, publisher Nakana.io here I wanted to write a few words to explain why we're doing this offer. Yes, of course it's to give the game more visibility on eShop. We know too well that it is very hard for most indies to exist without a very generous deal, and with a game as peculiar as Infini, that's even harder. But we genuinely love the game and think/hope that fans of this genre might do too. So instead of asking "our players" to pay for it full price, just to make a bigger discount a few weeks after launch because of visibility issue, we decided that it would be better for everyone if we just made this free deal right away at launch!
@SoIDecidedTo I have never played nor even heard of it But it looks like I missed out then. I guess this person didn't like my eggs. Apart from the classics (Power Stone, SoulCalibur, Shenmue, SOA), one of my favourites was The Nomad Soul. 'member? I 'member.
@Donutman sorry that I'm advertising our trailer right here, but I just wanted to inform that this is the only place on the web where you can watch it in 2160p if you have a big screen! https://youtu.be/nxaivMkG4C4 ...the only place yet...
it's a game that makes you feel on top of the tale, almost like a god with a big hand in the sky, except you're the mother of Eqqo, making her own story happen as she tells it.
Like a guide with this big hand, you will have to activate some devices and mechanisms that are out of reach from the hero.
Also, Eqqo is blind, so he moves by hearing/feeling you "knock on the ground" where he has to go.
Eqqo is from a village of pilgrims as well, which suits well what's described above.
@Ralizah Obviously my opinion as the game's publisher is biased, but I would say that:
one one hand it is insightful because it gives a condensed overview of how things can slowly escalate the wrong way, but because it's in the long term and filled with daily life details, people are not even conscious of the toxicity and wrongdoings of their behavior. But children have a different point of view and can be confused and hurt psychologically. One of the videos from the charity Fragile Childhood and its final message sums this quite well: https://youtu.be/XwdUXS94yNk
on the other hand, it's not a rational educational game - exactly because it's all from the perspective of this little girl. So it's more about her perceptions/feelings toward things,. The scenes when she is very young are even oniric. This means that the journey might not be emotional and therefore interesting for everybody, it might just not be your cup of tea. That's why we added in the description "Confront the monster with your own sensitivity".
@MrBlacky Hey everyone, Lydia's publisher here. Platonic Partnership were composed of 4 people when they created Lydia (1 for Biz/Marketing, 1 for Graphics, 1 for Code and 1 for Audio). Two of them (graphics + code) experienced these issues when they were kids and they are the ones who wrote the story. So yeah, you're right, it's not exactly all of them but it's still a very genuine take on the problem. As a side note, abuses probably happen in more houses than we expect - sometimes because nothing is shared or because it's not always easy to point or accept where the problem is exactly.

@JTTS I'll speak on behalf of the devs:
