The Nintendo Switch is about to get a new puzzle-adventure in the form of EQQO, the latest game from indie developer, Parallel Studio.

The team - founded by ex-members of DontNod Entertainment, Ubisoft and Quantic Dream - originally created the game for VR devices, but this latest version is headed to Switch and PC. It's described as a "poetic and meaningful" adventure which has been inspired by nature and Ethiopian mythology.

A press release detailing the announcement notes that the game tells "the improbable tale of two foreign creatures": a child who cannot see, and an egg which is as fragile as it is vital. Players will use the powers of this egg to advance through sacred lands and mysterious rooms, dodging traps and repelling those that want to seize the egg for themselves.
