Okay this game is awesome I hope we get a western release. By the way Nintendo life where do you get your news? Nintendo Everything had this post up hours ago. I wish you could get more exciting game content up quicker instead of all this company finance crap. I used to not give a crap about it till you started constantly posting it and I got sucked into it taking away the fun I was having. Well for now on I am sticking to gaming news and not letting you suck me into this world of financial doom and sales crap. I never cared about it before and I need to quit caring about it now and enjoy the games I have more and look forward to upcoming titles. Man do I ever wish we still had Nintendo power I miss the real game previews.
I've always enjoyed Nintendo's titles way more than the others. I feel if I want a 3rd party title from any of the other consoles today I have my choice of sport game or shooter game both on the same system where the difference is not content but whether or not one has more pixels than the other. The variety seems to be disappearing for 3rd party developers on these consoles which is what Sony and Microsoft seem to rely on way too much in my opinion. Hence why I love Nintendo for their unique games. I feel they will turn the tide for gamers who want a nice fun game that doesn't have you constantly shooting heads off. And will be a nice offering to parents with limited budgets and could care less about how many pixels or frames per second one game has over the other. I do hope they bring back more open world games. I miss those a lot from the N64 days.
@Einherjar I totally agree. I am getting so tired of this world of critics predicting doom. You never see them saying that about sony or Microsoft. Why should Nintendo always get the bad rap.
They want to keep it family oriented clearly and it's kind of antisocial if you just play games with your smartphone all day in my opinion. I do however want some more games to get stoked about this year for my Wii U I already have a lot of exciting games for my 3ds but this year is the Wii Us turn. Give me some new Bayonetta 2 footage or something.
And quit giving the skeptics and critics ammo everyone we all know they're not real gamers so why should we give them our attention. Let's just stay calm and play on.
Good article. Sales may have been bad for Wii U but I look forward to the new games coming out. I just have to save up for them. Which I believe will also affect sales for everyone. We all can't keep buying 60 dollar games every week so the market needs to adjust for a slower paced economy instead of a quick money economy. There is way too many people buying games with credit cards it's time to go back to the piggy bank solution. Nintendo will stay strong like it has through many struggles. I do feel social media and the internet though have totally made the gaming world unfun. Sure you still had struggles with sales before then but at least you didn't have every average joe trying to be a financial expert and advice giver. Lord knows half of us get annoyed by random people doing that to us when were trying to make decisions.
He's definitely not like American CEOs who just take the cash and run. The plan should be to have more realistic sale projections and stay away from competing with the other two consoles so when sales beat the low sale predictions the shareholders will keep their mouths shut. But they also need to embrace the steam like system and have virtual console games work on the 3DS and Wii U and allow you to still share a virtual console game on the Wii u with another user on the system. Just charge a small additional license fee for it. and also start a vigorous strategy to get the virtual console market full of nintendo's amazing library of games. And why not make a deal with Microsoft to get the old rare games on the virtual console as well. I feel uncomfortable saying that but we could use some of that 90s charm in our virtual console for Wii U. Nintendo has hit rough seas before they just need to switch up course a little and not expect to be a constant big seller and enjoy what they get.
Hmmm 1080. Think I need to get the old N64 out. I miss the music from that game. Especially the level select track. "Work your body..work your body..work..doo doo work..."
Man this is getting to technical for me. I guess the moral of the story is Nintendo should of had a better developer support team on hand for the companies that are quick too drop game development if it becomes difficult for them. Isn't technical hurdles part of the challenge to all digital works out there?
I'd like to see a new star fox adventures game but taking it to a much deeper story where we finally get to wander outside the Lylat system. I know assault gave us one level doing that but the ground mechanic in that game was very sloppy and doesn't really count as going outside the system.
They censor in America because our people get offended by the craziest things. Nudity bad but showing heads getting shot off that's okay. Same with our movies.
@ULTRA-64 well if I couldn't play something right when I got it or had to spend my money right then and there. Then I have bigger problems coming up for me in the future if I can't have patients to play something later after it's fixed.
Oh come on Nintendo Life. Just because the eShop wasn't available doesn't mean those publishers lost a sale forever. I mean I really wanted NES Remix but I didn't go crazy and say I wasn't going to buy it just because the eShop was down. By the way NES Remix is awesome!!
What was that? No seriously I saw the video trailer and the DKC content looked nice but what the heck type of awards show was that. Looked like a couple of guys in a college dorm room who had never been on tv before.
Right on Nintendo Life. Your article expressed what I've been thinking about for awhile now. Investors today seem to only care about short term profit instead of long term. It's what caused the American housing crisis so we definitely don't need to use this same tactic for our precious Nintendo games.
The same comments were made with the first DS system. And there's something special about having an inventory screen on hand at all times. It made assigning items ultra easy with Wind Waker and even Batman Arkham City used it well. It's up to developers to be creative with it. Nintendo has given you an awesome tool to play with and create something neat. It doesn't hurt to take your eyes off the tv every once in awhile you know.
Funny thing is Night Trap is the reason why the American game rating system ESRB was invented. The history is perfectly presented in this hilarious video Taco Man Plays A Video Game. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w2bvPY2ogJA
@Jazzer94 My Id is N64ever and I am on a Nintendo Fan Site. Duh of course I am biased against the other consoles. I didn't used to be with Sony but they don't interest anymore since the PS3 (loved my PS1 and 2) so I'm going to support Nintendo more than them or Xbox. I like playing HD shooter games on my PC not on a console. Nothing beats a mouse or a wii remote for accurate aiming.
Who gives a crap. Just play your Wii U games and old Wii games. The PS4 and Xbox one users can only stare at their systems now because of the small amount of launch titles available for it. Right now they're probably wishing they hadn't yet traded in their old system and games yet to buy the giant PCs. Because that's all they are folks giant PCs with fancy keyboards and no backwards compatibility to enjoy your previous fun games. So in retro spec I already have a PS4 hooked up to my TV and it's called a PC with Steam.
Sorry princess your 3DS got caught in a windstorm and blown to another castle. Seriously we have enough traffic noise and things to look out for. Don't need drones dropping out of the sky or killing endangered birds.
@unrandomsam I believe there are a billion different versions of what the American Father is suppose to be and everyone of them is believed to be the correct version. Lol
It's a me myrio! That accent is bad it distracts me from the gameplay footage. still like it though. And the reason we have the pitch series in the US is because most moms and dads who don't follow the tech trend 24/7 don't understand what the U is suppose to mean. But once you explain it then they get it.
I will be more stoked when they make it where you can play virtual console titles on both systems and have your suspended play transfer between the two.
Did anyone watch the Japanese one? Granted I don't know Japanese but they had some awesome looking nintendo gift cards that could be used as AR cards. How come the rest of us aren't getting that cool stuff? I want a Pikmin AR card!!!!
I think it's an excellent commercial. After all the other systems will be showing nothing but shooting games and gore games right now. So showing that there is a console out there that has more family friendly choices is a good pitch in my opinion.
What an obvious rip off. It looks like the same pot design, spiked chu chus even the stupid little info signs look the same. This is why I hate mobile games and have very few that I like. They are either cloning successful games or adding so many micro transaction that you might as well take a quarter put it into a coin game at the arcade and hope your stupid quarter will some how hit the switch that will give you all the quarters from all the other suckers that tried it.
I actually may consider playing this. I lost intrest in most shooters but this actually looks good. Cinematically looks good anyways. Guess I will rent it first.
If you ever watch American media you already know they don't know what they're talking about half the time. Thank you Nintendo Life for providing an alternative to other bias websites and media outlets who can't even pronounce 3ds right. Nintendo will do well and I think when you're considered the underdog you usually make better entertaining stuff than the top money maker dogs.
Well my trial ran out. I am a little bummed. I tried switching too the Wii sports original and even resort but you don't realize how nicely redone the textures are in Wii sports club till you play the older versions. Guess its time to save up for the bowling game or wait for a bundle packaged version.
Well you all may not like it but I think it's a very nice game and the online gaming is fun. It has also let my wife who can only stand with crutches get to enjoy playing bowling for the first time. She loves it and I am happy that she gets to enjoy playing with me. Don't diss Nintendo just because they made a game not appealing to your interest. Just pick up your controller and move on to a game you like.
@justinluey I agree with you. I've been playing bowling for an hour and I found the online features to be a lot of fun. I think everyone is blasting the online world play limitations because we are all obsessed with being the king super duper champion of the world or something. It's not an online RPG or shooter folks it's a simple sports game to have fun with. I do find 10 bucks to be a little steep for unlimited play for one sport though. But I guess I just need to save up for it or wait for a deal hehe.
I can't wait to get this either. I also can't wait for Nintendo of America to figure out how to do morning updates to the eshop instead of making us wait till like noon.
@Barbiegurl777 What's amazing in our area is the family videos were so competitive they actually drove the blockbusters and Hollywood videos out of business before red box and online streaming even existed. So clearly family video knows how to compete. Lol. Happy gaming to you too
