I don't get how a game like Mario Kart Deluxe runs absolutely fine online, yet Smash Brothers, Super Mario Maker 2, and load of others clank along like with all the unpredictability of the Drunken master?!
They've been pretty much near unplayable every time I've jumped into a match! My subscription ran at at the end of March, but until they sort out the horrendous lag and latency issues, well, simply put I won't be renewing it anytime soon!
Yeah, as others have correctly pointed out on here, old Joe's definitely graffitied onto a sewer pipe in the 'Underground' stage. I've also spotted a cap adorned, suspiciously shadowed Terry Bogart based character drinking in one of the various dive bars permeating the first level.
Personally I was really, REALLY hoping it was an Easter egg for a new, upcoming Shinobi project involving these devs, regarding the aforementioned Shinobi graffiti piece.
Yep, I've purchased SoR4, and I'll admit right here and now that the game's excellent! I'm 42 and sadly I find that 90 % of video games nowadays have pretty much lost their appeal to me.
SoR4 was a beautiful tilt back in the nostalgia department. More to the point it stands up as a very good game in its own right!
For me a SoR original trilogy remake and a Shinobi trilogy remake (***** it, just remake Revenge of Shinobi) would be day one purchases. Without a second of hesitation would I buy a new Shinobi game (or even an updated one)
These guys have done an absolute Stella job with SoR4! Anybody saying it's "too old" or redundant in these here sadly ground-hog-days of COD XXXVII, well, put simply...
If this collaboration remake Revenge of Shinobi with Koshiro San back on music duties, I'll literally pay ***** silly money for it!
In fact, simply refresh the whole SoR series and the Shinobi ip as well!
And for the love of Jesus, Allah and the other one with all the arms! A Sega Rally package is LONG overdue for the switch! Arcade 1994 championship original, saturn version, and a modernised version of the classic, again would get my wallet open quicker than the McCann's vacating Portugal.
Got to admit, that should be an interesting conversion when the remastered edition lands on the old Switch (IF it does of course?) allegedly it's coming, but we'll see.
Personally I'm not arsed about graphics nowadays. I got bored of the whole graphical "progression" a good three generations ago to be honest! Sheer polygon rendering counts are about as appealing to me nowadays as the whole pc "master race" VS console players! Ie.. I couldn't care less!
Give me a game with a cracking ambience to it any old day of the week. Currently revisiting Super Metroid on the Switch and you know what? It's still a joy to get lost in and witness. Graphically, of course it's aged! But the feeling of isolation generated by its still Stella atmosphere, sound, colour palette, etc, everything really. It really is a testament to the games design and long-term appeal.
If I was forced to pick out technically aesthetically pleasing games on the Switch then I'd definitely be pulling up the following (in no particular order)..
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (how many other 7 year old games GENUINELY still look as good? Yeah there's a few, but the majority of them don't)
Hollow Knight
Luigi's Mansion
Animal Crossing (depending on the time of day)
Steampunk Heist (not super varied, granted, but there's definitely some nice little touches on offer)
Grid
Super Smash Brothers Ultimate
BOTW
The Touryst
Transistor
Alien Isolation
Katana Zero
There's literally plenty of good looking ganes on the Switch that hold their own! No the Switch isn't a PS4 Pro, Xbox OneX, monster gaming rig when it comes to throwing sheer polygons and dynamic lightning effects about..
Then again, it's simply never claimed to be any of the aforementioned in the horsepower department.
Accuses the game of being immature, then in his rather scathing write up brands it a
"stupid baby game"... showing us all that he is indeed an incredibly mature adult himself. What, I for one am completely envious of his incredibly skillful and varied lexicon of such journalistic maturity.

Re: Review: The Wonderful 101: Remastered - Kamiya's Comeback Kid Lives Up To The Hype
Never tried it even when I did own a WiiU. If patch up the performance issues, yeah I'll probably give it a shot though.

They're missing the point.

I bet EDGE gives it an 8.

Re: Animal Crossing Appears To Have Nerfed Tarantula And Scorpion Spawn Rates
Only caught (and sold) one tarantula since I've been playing.
Nook's getting on my tits now! I say we land on him en masse and give him a solid beat down!
Re: Video: A Closer Look At The Mini Nintendo Switch Dock With GameCube Ports
Probably about as reliable as the McCann's looking after the kids!
Just no!

'Yeah, but can it run Crysis?'
