@JohnnyMind 8-Bit Music Theory is one of my favorite content creators, and he taught me a good chunk about writing music back when I was starting out from scratch. I would definitely recommend checking him out to anyone who likes music in general.
@dartmonkey woah, no idea that the VGM Fests were a thing! I’ve only been on this page for about two years. Banjo Kazooie is a great example of a soundtrack that really uses the hardware to its full potential.
I’m definitely going to go back and listen to your buddy’s music, thanks for dropping that in the reply!
If I could write monthly articles about VGM on Time Extension, I would go absolutely crazy with it 🤣 A music focused tag would be amazing for this website
@CaleBoi25 that’s awesome! Im no expert in any instrument, but I do compose and produce game remixes! I’m currently learning the Drums and Electric guitar, but I have my roots in piano (especially since you use Piano rolls a ton when sequencing music). I would post a link to my artists page but I do not know if that is allowed
@kategray This article is a great introduction to this sort of thing, kudos on the good writing. If you’re interested on covering it, T- Square has actually made more than a few songs that have directly inspired famous game soundtracks.
Their Song “Travelers” inspired Guile’s theme from SFII
(Look at that! I made it!) Thanks for taking a look at my letter! I can’t wait to see a little notification telling me there will be a tournament soon!
@LilyGoMEOW I thought you were talking about MG Burst, but I now realize you were talking about the first one! Just realized I had it, playing it again now. So fun.
@LilyGoMEOW I have played it, not completed it. The music and art was a big hit here, but the stage design overall and the plot being so closely related to mighty no.9 just made me want to play Mega Man 2. I'm not a picky or judgemental gamer, but reading my words over again, maybe I am being a little bit of both. I'll give it another shot tonight! (My philosophy in gaming is this: If you can acknowledge the flaws and issues of a game and still let yourself enjoy it, then playing the game is worth it. I feel maybe I have forgotten this. Thanks for sharing your opinion!)
I don't know what it is, but as hard as I try, I just cannot get into the Gunvolt series. I have loved and played the Mega Man Zero games to death, and even though I like the plot and general design of the first Gunvolt game, it bores me so quickly, as if it wasn't worth the effort. Should I push myself to finish these games?
@Gavin Lane Will Time Extension also be getting a feature like this? I have plentiful findings in the world of obscure retro goodies to share! (Also, how do you @ the writer of an article? Did I do it right?)
@Yannis It's at the top of charts so often for the same reason wii sports was. Bundles and the fact that it's a good game for beginners make it jump up into the charts everytime I lot of people buy a switch.
It's things like these that I appreciate collectors for. These are museum relics. I have this frustration with people who amass multiple copies of already scarce games and consoles just to display them, rather than enjoy them. But charmingly retro pieces of art or figures, these make sense. These cards ooze that Nintendo love that we are so woefully denied nowadays.
As one of the younger folks here, growing up with the 3DS was such joy. Knowing that someone just like you walked by with a 3DS family system in their pocket was amazing. There was no feeling like that of seeing the little green light go off meanwhile being out and about. Thank you, everyone. Many times has your little mii made my day, even out here now. I still hope to come home one day to see a notification on my mii plaza.

Re: Shadow Of The Ninja Remake Locks In 'Summer 2024' Switch Release
I played this game so much as a kid. I’m so glad it’s getting a proper release again.

Of course there’s Sister Marian like you already covered, but there’s more out there that I have yet to find.

I figured it out! @dartmonkey , are team members allowed to send in their own letters?
