Re: Rumour: Nintendo Planning a Wind Waker HD Hardware Bundle

MegaManEP3

I think that a WWHD bundle is a good idea. The Zelda name is recognizable and it's a single player experience so you won't need additional hardware like you would if it came packed with SM3DW. It will also show off the GamePad screen and Miiverse functionality. What Nintendo really needs to do is release the bundle for $299. I don't think the basic is being sold in the states anymore so when people go into the store and see a WiiU with a game for $100 less than the PS4 and $200 less than the XB1 it will look like a far more enticing product.

This was a great write-up. This site is now my go to place for all things Nintendo. I'm still a big supporter of IGN.com but their Nintendo news has been seriously lacking lately.
Anyways, I can’t wait to get this on 8/4/13. I think this will be my first retail download too!

I was really looking forward to MML3 and MMU. MMU really had me interested but that one is dead too. I have some faith that Capcom will do the right thing with Mega Man but part of me fears that a Mega Man FPS is going to take priority. Retro showed that you could take a 2D side scrolling game and transition it to first person but that's just not the Mega Man that I want.

@Samurai_Goroh I've never had a Nintendo console or handheld go out on me so I'm really not sure. I have heard that they will do exactly what you described but those are rare instances. In my opinion, it still shouldn't be that hard. They should have all your downloads attached to an account and that account should be cross platform just like PSN.

@ferthepoet this is my biggest issue with Nintendo's online service. They need an account based system. They already track what games you have if you connect your WiiU to your Club Nintendo account, they just need to go one step further. I've never had a Nintendo system die on me, but my friends launch WiiU died a few days after he got it. He had bought a couple online games that he never got back. Nintendo did give him a free copy of Ninja Gaiden 3 to make up for his lost games though.
