I have experienced lag but none as bad as depicted in this video. I also had MAJOR wifi connection issues with my Wii U for a long time. I think I've finally got them under control but I would suggest to anyone having issue to go about investigating using manual connection controls for the Wii U rather than the automatic detection.
God, I just want one for my daughter. Her favorite character is Rosalina. I check the Target website every day to see if they have put the pre order back up. Sigh. I guess I'll just have to be there when Target opens on 2/1 to see if they actually get any in stock in the store.
Out of the next wave I'll get at least Toad and probably Charizard.
I don't think Ninty really thought amiibos fully through. There is SO MUCH wasted potential in these games. I expected them to work like Skylanders except across multiple games and instead we get some that unlock special things in certain games, Meh.
Ninty needs to make a completely new IP for amiibos and make them more ubiquitous. Even if they don't come out with the exact same sculpts for ones like Wii Trainer, Marth, etc... they need to make a 2nd printing or new versions or something.
An adventure game (like Skylanders) where each amiibo can be brought in and out of the game, and remember their skill points or weapon increases, etc... would be TOADally awesome.
I've never played a MH game and I preordered this one based on reviews of past games and gameplay footage of this game. I would love to play the demo to see what I'm in for if anyone would be kind enough to send one my way it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
As happy as I am to see a review for this game (as I didn't know it existed until I read this review) I feel it's missing out by not delving into the online mode which, in mostly digital cards games of this sort (Hearthstone, MTG, Hex, etc...), is where most of the fun/strategy is. I wish the author spent a little more time describing the online competition portion.
Still, now that I know it exists, I'll take a break from Hearthstone to try this out for free (and purchase if I like the mechanics/gameplay).
