Re: Iwata: We Need To Raise Our Game at E3

LoopyLuigi

oh please, like sonys and microsofts were any more exciting. MS started off with the beatles, who didn't seem to know what to say, for a game that is for every platform anyway. and sonys was a huge snooze fest except for their motion control, which nintendo ALREADY HAS. SNORE.

Re: Wii Sales Starting to Crash?

LoopyLuigi

i feel that a price cut should be in order, or as an alternative, to change the wii bundle to include M+ and WSR, with a classic controller and some wii points. A lot of people I know have stated that while they would buy a wii, it's all the additional costs of accessories that is holding them back. Also, it's about time that player's choices should come back. Many people will be willing to invest in a wii if they can get great games like Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess for PC prices ($25-$30)

Re: Why Silence is Golden for Nintendo

LoopyLuigi

Well, I agree that characters that are more like avatars should not speak, ie Link and Little Mac, but all the other characters in those games should have voices. I was very disappointed that there was no speaking dialog in Twilight Princess. However, characters who have their own personality, such as Mario and Stafox characters, should have proper speaking roles, it's the difference between a first person narrative and a third person story.
PS Tingle should disappear. Forever. and ever.

Re: Nintendo Rep: Virtual Console Being Toned Down

LoopyLuigi

There are so many ways of playing old games, a lot of people just don't want to pay for something they A: bought 10 years ago already B: can get cheaper at a garage sale or 2nd hand game store C: can get for FREE from the internet and play on their PCs or Homebrew channel. Personally, the only VC games I have are Mario 64, and both 64 Zeldas. Why, because I was willing to pay $10 for them, and I'm not for anything else so far. I save my cash for new games. Sure I could have a great VC library, or I could save up and buy WiiSports Resort. Guess what I did?

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Shines in 720p

Agreeing with Mr Wiirocks, I also want to add that at the time, I believe they said that less than 10% of households had HDTVs, and most of them were not in the "gaming market" so at the time, it made sense for Nintendo to not add the cost of HD to their system. Of course, 3 years later LCDs are WAY cheaper now but even without 720 support, the Wii still looks really nice on an LCD. Of course, even the NGC supported 720, so why remove that feature. So, in conclusion, I say that the Wii should have been able to support 720 all along without being more expensive, but not 1080.

Re: Review: New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Wii)

LoopyLuigi

Definitely the best New Play Control game so far, though I haven't played Pikmin yet. Good review, I really like this game, it's a ton of fun in the retro DKC style, and anyone can play without getting frustrated. Though my wife is pissed I trashed her high scores on my first go...

Re: Crystal Defenders R2

LoopyLuigi

R1 is the first 13 introductory levels. it was designed to introduce the tower defence genre to new players. R2, as far as i know, will contain more advanced features and harder levels (though it'd better be more than 13).
As for those of us who do not have a 360, I liked this version over the ipod version just because the controls were easier and that tiny ipod screen is hard to concentrate on for too long <8o
I've heard that the ipod touch/iphone version is much better. anyone have that version and care to comment?

Re: Grand Slam Tennis

LoopyLuigi

OK, so the first M+ game is coming from EA, not Nin. So I buy the M+ (x2) and then this game ($90 later) just to play tennis. I think I'll wait for WiiSports Resort to come out.
