Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Bayonetta 3

Dude, what was the writer expecting? Some deep commentary on the pitfalls of patriarchy, capped off with an "I am woman. Hear me roar!" type of statement? Articles like the polygon piece come off as misandrist rather than feminist, the latter of which I consider myself even as a straight man.

@nessisonett I want to say I was 13 when I played the original, same year it came out. Belias made me quit, and it wasn't until I came back maybe four or five years later and started from the beginning that I was able to beat him. It also didn't help that two of my main guys got permadeathed before the Belias fight, so I am inclined to agree with you.

Completely unrelated, but I fought so hard in Hades (the game) that my right arm (in real life) started to hurt. I had to pause the game just to get my bearings. Alas, I will escape the House of Hades.

Re: Evidence Of Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version For Nintendo Switch Seemingly Uncovered

@Liam_Doolan The Nintendo Switch is now confirmed to have North American cloud streaming capabilities. I repeat: the Nintendo Switch is now confirmed to have North American cloud streaming capabilities! Do you know what this means, my friend?

I wondered about Resident Evil 7 as well as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Both games were released in Japan on Nintendo Switch’s cloud streaming service, but never made it stateside. It begs the question: could the Switch compete with Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen systems if it were capable of streaming modern games on its modest hardware?

The underlying premise of the Switch has been simple thus far: PS3, 360, X1, and PS4 games to boot, on the go even; but the Switch’s technical limitations have been long lamented since its launch. Can it keep up with the impending launch of next-gen consoles without an upgrade? The debate is at a standstill. However… Do you, my friend, understand the implications of the Nintendo Switch operating as a streaming device for games?

Not only will diehard Nintendo consumers be privileged to experience Metroid Prime 4, Breath of the Wild 2, Bayonetta 3, and other upcoming Nintendo exclusives, but the potential for cloud gaming in North America is enormous. Games that were once though impossible to port to the Nintendo Switch stand a chance of simply streaming. I watched the Shadow Direct, and immediately downloaded Control afterward. The results? Control runs impeccably on the cloud.

I’m just throwing this out there. I’m 36. I played Zelda on NES when I was four, and got hooked. It’s an exciting time to be a Nintendo fan.

Re: Port Specialist Saber Interactive Is Working On New Games For Nintendo Switch

@Link2284 Furthermore, DQ11 runs perfectly fine on my Switch, and that's regardless of whether or not the PS4 version looks better. I'm not a system hater. I love PS4, X, and Switch. A fun game is a fun game, and I'd gladly play any Switch port so long as it wasn't a severe diminishing of its PS4/X counterparts in the GAMEPLAY (not graphics) department. Ya know, some of us STILL play SNES games without second thought about the graphics. Lol

I'm 35, and I've been gaming since I was 4. To me, the graphical leap between PS1 and 2 is obvious. Between PS2 and PS3 also obvious. But once PS3 and Xbox 360 arrived, the leap to PS4 and Xbox One while noticeable was not as gigantic as previous gens. What Im saying is that yes, graphics are important. But at what point does it not matter as much? Yes, I can tell the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps, but it's no dealbreaker. So when I read these comments (and Im mostly a lurker) saying Switch graphics are inferior to PS4, I just get kinda irritated. Because if the Switch is a step above the PS3 but a step below the PS4 in terms of graphical prowess, I have to ask: does it matter that these games are slightly less appealing than their PS4 counterparts? Think about it. Stop complaining and just appreciate that we've had near-lifelike visuals in videogames since the PS3 era.
