Also, yes, I HAVE downloaded ROMs. Mostly really ancient PC games that run on DOS.
However, I also have full romset of the Wii VC, because I was never able to get any of those games back in the day, due to not even having a Wii until fairly recently, and I have no shame.
The current sytem sucks. It just does. Nintendo had a chance, a REAL CHANCE, to be awesome. Instead, they're giving us 20 warmed over, stale NES games, that virtually no one is excited for, with 3 more a month (yippee...) and not a WORD about SNES, GCN, GB, GBC, GBA, N64, Wii, DS...
Nintendo knows we want Mother 3, for instance. Imagine if they'd opened NSO with MOTHER 3, some SNES titles, the best NES titles, and, GASP, GAMECUBE! There would be no complaints.
All you guys saying the SNES Mini is a good substitute can suck it. Until it is READILY available everywhere, it is NOT a substitute.
Pirating roms is stealing? No s***, Sherlock. Nobody cares. Give it up already. Some games are literally impossible to play without pirating a rom.
I see the Nintendo Moral Guardians are out in force. Yes, ROMs are technically illegal. Nintendo has the legal right to do this, but it does not have the moral right.
I want to play Mother 3, but I can't read Japanese. A ROM is a perfectly reasonable solution until Nintendo gets its head out of its butt and releases it here in America (which is obviously NEVER going to happen at this point). Satellaview games would be lost forever without emulation. Why is letting good games get lost forever seen as acceptable and right?
@thesilverbrick I share your feeling about the Virtual Console. I want to OWN the games, not merely rent them, and have them completely disappear someday. That effing sucks.
The upper screen on my Hyrule Edition New 3DS XL stopped working awhile back for no discernable reason. I sent it off to Nintendo and they fixed the problem completely free of charge to me. All I had to pay was shipping to Nintendo.
I am ambivalent toward digital. I've gotten a lot of digital games on my 3DS, but I much prefer physical.
Digital only does bother me because where I live we have truly crappy internet. It can take hours to download games digitally. I don't have patience for that [removed].
I have one single Amiibo, Lottie from Animal Crossing, but I'd LOVE to have more. Those Link anniversary ones are quite nice to look at. Sadly though, where I live the Amiibos are pretty scarce to downright impossible to find.

Re: Cities: Skylines - A SimCity Successor That Struggles To Shine On Switch
@saintayu Rip off? No, nice try though.
It is a successor to SimCity, because EA has completely destroyed that beloved franchise with SimCity 2013.
At least SOMEBODY is making a proper city simulation game now.
Go back under your rock.

Best customer service, ever.
Re: Soapbox: I'm Secretly Terrified Of An All-Digital Gaming Future
Where did my comment go?
I'm ambivalent toward digital. I have a lot of downloads on my 3DS, but I much prefer physical.
I have crappy internet, and downloads can take hours, so I don't like this idea of digital only.

Re: Soapbox: Switch's Rampant Success Is Proof Positive That You Should Never Write Off Nintendo
@Dev Heck, you could even say the Virtual Boy was the prototype of the 3DS.

Re: Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter Subscribers to Have Another Chance to Collect Mythical Mew
I signed up for the newsletter well before the deadline, too, and I haven't received a mew code yet, either. What's the deal, Nintendo?
