Earlier this year owners of Pokémon X & Y as well as Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire had an opportunity to pick up a special Mythical Mew 'mon as part of a limited distribution. The distribution was mostly through serial codes, with the Mew having the following details:
LEVEL: 100
TYPE: Psychic
ABILITY: Synchronize
MOVE: Pound
As it was limited to codes from stores some likely missed out, so The Pokémon Company is offering another opportunity. Everyone who's signed up to the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter before 1st June will get that same Mew as a code that month; you can see the details and sign up here.
If you're already receiving the newsletter then all you need to do is wait patiently.

They need to redistribute the HA legendary birds because I had two e-mails signed up and had it set to receive the newsletter and didn't get one on either.
I wonder if when it comes out, we'll get people whining about not being told about this.

@Sam_Loser2 You kind of are being swamped with legendary pokémon (IMO there's no such thing as too many cool pokémon though :3 ), for the main series' 20th anniversary there's at least one distribution event each month...
@MarinoKadame Same here. Totally didn't get my legendary bird trio codes.
This'll allow for me to get a Mew in Y. Hopefully I get a code this time, I missed the serial distribution a few months ago.

I hope they redistribute Jirachi too. I completely forgot about it when I had the chance.
Curious how this will be the same as the previous one, seeing as they'll have different codes. Do they somehow share the same Wonder Card? Not sure how that works with these codes.

They were in an email about Darkrai but when you scroll down the bird trio codes are there.

So... how do you actually sign up for the newsletter? I'm already a Trainer Club member but have never received any emails, nor can I find an opt-in link anywhere on the site.
@Yorumi Thanks Yorumi. I found the checkbox and checked it that same day--well before the deadline--and still didn't receive anything in the mail. Oh well.
I signed up for the newsletter well before the deadline, too, and I haven't received a mew code yet, either. What's the deal, Nintendo?
