@Xilef
Exactly. Although I would love to see a new pokemon TCG on 3ds, this is an experience that has already been available on PC... But why isn't this for android OS as well? (same with Hearthstone... I would love to play it on a mobile device but I only have android.)
I was looking at this game's Miiverse community the day it came out and remember seeing a self-taken photo screenshot of a user in different poses with speech bubbles exclaiming that they could just use actual photos of themselves in their comics instead of drawing pictures.
They used stamps and graphics to cover their eyes to hide their identity, but as soon as I saw that I knew it wasn't going to be long before posting real photos was going to be disabled.
I'm looking forward to this game as it seems to take the whole animal crossing with friends charm to a more personal level, but I don't think these commercials are doing it any justice.
...which reminds me, we can't play Metroid Hunters online anymore since the DS online services are done and over with...
Now we really need a new Hunters game on 3DS!
Retro Studios did such an amazing job with these games. I really hope I get to see another entry in the Metroid series that has the immersion and ambience that Retro Studios achieved with the Prime trilogy. I also absolutely loved the Metroid Prime Hunters game on DS, and would be ecstatic to see a new Hunters game made for 3DS... or even on the U.
Is it just me or is falling off the track much more merciful this time around? There seems to be very little downtime after falling off course. Maybe it's a situational thing.
I was pretty disappointed to see Mewtwo replaced with Lucario in the last game (I was the best with Mewtwo, I learned his moves inside and out). I would've been happy with Pokémon Trainer and Mewtwo being the only two playable characters from the pokemon franchise.
To me, it makes more sense to see the Pokémon Trainer's team on the field fighting off against a legendary like Mewtwo, and the rest of Nintendo's main characters. It felt weird having a Trainer with his 3 pokemon equally fighting a single Pikachu... or a Lucario... or heaven forbid a Jigglypuff.... ( I really hope they leave out Jigglypuff this time.)
This list is amazing. I would absolutely love to see every single one of these titles. Personally, I would love to see a new Metroid Prime Hunters game the most. I had a blast with the original on DS, and the unique playable characters made it one of the most enjoyable FPS online multiplayer games I've ever played, on any system. I really think they could make a best-seller if they made a new entry to the series on 3DS (or even Wii U).
Also, Mario Paint was one of the most influential video games of my childhood. I remember being excited to come home and spend hours painting, making music, and making my own animations on the SNES with the little mouse pad. With all these touch screen systems Nintendo has had success with, I'm amazed that Mario Paint hasn't made a huge comeback already.
I was lucky to have enough to reserve one when they announced it. I had a bunch of points leftover since the only thing I ever used points on was one of those giant AR cards (which is still awesome).
@WaxxyOne Yes, I eventually contacted support after trying to research the problem from various sources. I talked to three different support members over the phone and all of them basically stated that it is a unique problem and they were currently unequipped to solve the problem. They gave me a few suggestions like trying to connect to the eShop again to trigger the final step of the transfer, but I've tried everything.
When I view the memory settings on the system, it still shows save data for all of his software, so he still has the data on the SD card, but when he launches the game it acts as if he's playing it for the first time.
@BlatantlyHeroic No, there was nothing wrong with the SD card. It was due to a system transfer.
@Gioku Exactly. He got a brand new 3DS XL for Christmas and in his excitement began a system transfer from his old 3DS. Everything went fine until the very last step where an error occurred. His old system was wiped and he had to re-download all of his digital software, after which none was compatible with the save data on his old SD card.
My brother lost his save file with 200+ hours playtime on Pokémon X through this Nintendo Network crash (along with his Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate). This holiday event has definitely affected some more than others. R.I.P. special furniture, shiny pokemon, and G-rank armor sets.
All this Nintendo Network chaos has really made our video game hobby more stressful than enjoyable. My little brother got a shiny new pokemon edition 3DS XL and got an error code in the middle of the system transfer. Now his old 3DS is wiped and the game save data won't load on the new system. The old SD card still shows his save data on the new XL, but the game still acts as if there is no save data.
Now when they release the Pokémon Bank, he might not have a game to transfer to. I really hope his save is not lost, hundreds of hours... IV breeding... shinies found... makes him want to cry thinking about it
@belmont My household goes through a lot of video games, and I can truthfully say that a simplistic looking game like this has had much more of an impact on my family than any of those games mentioned (Ninja Gaiden being the only one of those we haven't tried yet.) I believe the reviewers here are accurate with their considerations.
My father recently became a golf fanatic earlier in the year; buying his own clubs and going out every weekend to golf. When I showed him this game, it blew his mind. It was his first time playing a video game in over a year, and his first time trying the Wii U. Now it's his favorite game and has played it almost every day when he gets home from work.

I like this color scheme. It looks... minty fresh.

Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. 3 (3DS eShop / NES)
Really hoping this comes to NA soon. I can play it in Wii mode on my Wii U, but would love it on my 3DS to play on the go.

Re: Nintendo Apologises for Nintendo Network Issues as Full eShop Services Return
@ikki5 How do you mean? The original save data is on the SD card, and that card is inside the new 3DS XL, it's just that his games won't recognize it.
