Despite all the naysayers, I’m quite keen for this. A huge online world where people are continually taking passengers around, trying to get more tips than your friend, or running a taxi company as you and your friends try to make more money than other companies? If it’s that sort of online multiplayer than count me in, as that is keeping the spirit of the original games.
Also, there’s no saying this isn’t a one player game with a multiplayer option. But hey, we gotta moan before we know anything in this day and age don’t we?
@SleepyAnimal It actually wasn’t made by Sega, but Climax. They also developed the first couple of Shining games (or at least a couple of the early ones) before Camelot took over. I agree with you on wanting more, just don’t think Sega would be the ones to do it.
@SleepyAnimal @AtlanteanMan
Landstalker isn’t a Sega title, they just published the first game. The sequel was released on the SNES.
As for Panzer Dragoon Saga, the team that made it infamously lost the source code for the game. There were rumblings a year or so ago though that it may have been found. Fingers crossed as more people need to play it.
Thanks to GamesPass I have no need to buy them. I will though be getting P4 for Switch (even though I’ll be getting it for ‘free’ on Xbox) as I need that on the go and it feels much better portable does that game.
@Pigeon Why is it so hard for people (seemingly like yourself) to come to terms with the simple fact they can like what they like? If you don’t like the art style then sound, good for you. Personally I think it looks great. If I didn’t I wouldn’t be a condescending ***** though.
@AtlanteanMan “ The only IP that's remotely captured the essence and sheer, passion-fueled quality Sega used to be known for two decades ago has been Valkyria Chronicles” Tell me you’ve never played Streets Of Rage 4 without telling me you’ve never played Streets Of Rage 4.
Naka’s work on the Saturn with NiGHTS (the best game Sega have ever made) and Burning Rangers (an absolute classic which nearly nobody played) rivals Miyamoto and his work on the N64. A game designed by both of them would be something truly special. Maybe one day, especially as I have a feeling a retired Miyamoto will be a lot like a retired Hayao Miyazaki.
@retro_player_22 and @subpopz Sega said at FES that if this Ages collection sells well then they play to put Saturn and Dreamcast games on the Switch. So that means Panzer Dragoon, Shining Force III, Deep Fear, Skies Of Arcadia and more could genuinely happen this time.
Do people even read the article/watch the video before commenting? Good grief.
@HFish As it’s trying to entice people who don’t own a Switch and the mobile/tablet crowd. Not that difficult to get your head around it.
@Dr_Corndog Micro transactions are only there if you’re a lazy so and so who can’t be bothered to wait, rather than intruding on the game. Again, not that difficult to get your head around that.

Re: Nintendo Goes Full Pixar In Strange New Animated Short Film, 'Close To You'
Personally think it’s Pikmin and all evidence does point to that… but could it maybe be that game they’ve beta tested a couple of times?

@nessisonett It’s because that’s all they have. They thrive off this nastiness.

Re: It Appears That Nintendo Has Unfinished Business With The 1080° Snowboarding Series
@GeeEmm No point asking Nintendo to do that, Snowboard Kids has nothing to do with them. Racjin made the games, Altus publishing them.
