@Anti-Matter The pokemon games are some of the easiest games ever made. If "casual gamer" means anyone younger than six, I guess it's true, but it's completely pointless for anyone who actually wants to play a game and not do mindless button pressing. You can just about beat every Pokemon game only using the starter. There's no need to make it easier.
@Redax Plot twist: Nintendo Life knew about this for a week so they'd have time to write an article, but were prohibited from publishing said article until Nintendo made an official announcement. This is typical for the industry.
Typical for news as a whole. My ex worked for a news agency and had to make an obituary video for Jimmy Carter when he was having brain surgery, so that, in the event he died, they would be able to immediately publish the obit.
@garydbz25 How? How is it pathetic? They're just toys. Nintendo is really a toy company at heart. They invented that extending grabbing arm thing, after all. I think it's great for them to be doing some awesome product design and not just game design. It's innovative, no matter if it's agreeable to you or not, and it makes my heart sing to know that there are still big tech companies looking to push the boundaries of what their products are and take innovative risks.
@BalrogtheMaster This is what I want to know, too. However, I don't think it would work because how would you pair it unless it was an official adapter that came with the headphones? There's no interface for pairing things on the switch.
If one has an Amazon Prime account, they get a 20% discount off physical copies of any video game, for preorder and up to 2 weeks after the game's release (in the US anyway).
This 20% covers the "Nintendo tax" for what is normally a $50 game. And a game like RiME only costs $2 more for Switch than other consoles this way.
(Of course if one is used to buying PS4 or XBone games with Prime, it doesn't help any. But I'm normally a PC gamer and don't have those, so it shields me somewhat from the price hike.)
A "non-issue"??? Except the fact that Nintendo might be holding save files for ransom, forcing people to sign up for their premium service if they want to transfer.
