Wow, this is actually pretty bad. I can understand the discs for power-ups and such, but not being able to unlock the content for the toybox mode without them? People rag on Skylanders but at least with Skylanders, you know what you're getting. That being said, if Skylanders did a thing like this, I would also rag on them, too.

@MadAussieBloke Cosmic Spacehead is a brill game; unfortunately it frequently gets marred because of the prequel, Linus Spacehead, and people who believe everything that YouTube videos say.

@Joshers744 Dude, it's a week. Not really that bad. There's plenty of games that you people in North America have gotten months before us, and some we're still waiting on (Harvest Moon, anyone?). A little longer won't kill you.

As for me, physical for me. I want to have my whole collection together

I think my current conclusion is that I will buy the game, down the line when it's cheap. I've seen the original sold for between £15 and £25, and Giants has gone down to cheap prices here and there.

I'll also get the figures, but only when they're on offer, I think. But I think having more figures from the outset will be better, so yeah, can wait for the game to be reduced! Especially since I imported Lightcore Hex so don't have the incentive to pre-order!

@GamerZack7 you're welcome! As I said, I can understand why they didn't mark them as compatible, because parents would get confused, but as long as it's Eruptor, Drobot, Prism Break or Hex, it's all fine and dandy. I think they still light up too, to my recollection!

@GamerZack7 actually, the Series 1 lightcore figures work fine in the first game; they mark it to the contrary on the packaging to save confusing parents but they work perfectly fine. I only wonder with these since it's a whole new portal.

While I'm trying to pretty much swear off of Skylanders after I get the last few figures for Giants, I may well be able to be convinced to pick up the Lightcore versions of Flashwing and Warnado, when it's confirmed they'll work with the previous games.

Retail for me - Amazon are selling at a great price plus I have some credit there for trading in some books I wasn't using.

If I get any gift cards for my birthday, it will be even less!

Pretty much what @Nilbelit said. I'm someone who has stuck with both the first and second game, and been through buying all the figures. The first game, glitches aside, is very charming. The second is more refined, less charming.

I had a tough time with completing my collection for the first game and gave Giants a chance purely because the whole "availability" thing was going to be resolved. I don't think it has been.

The Giants at least looked like they fitted in with the original cast; I don't think the Swaplanders do. Possibly, I will either ask for this as a gift or get it when it's on the cheap and the figures on special offer, but my interest has waned.

@pikku That's because you're trying the wrong games. Try the 8-bit and 16-bit outings.

All those who are complaining, I'm more than happy if you send the demo Wii U over here to the UK. I'd love to try ALL of the games on offer.

Will be getting Sonic 1, definitely. The 8-bit one is far superior to the Mega Drive one and I can't say no to some help from save states!

As long as there isn't actually a problem with the system itself, I don't have a problem.

I have a Basic Wii U because, like others, I wanted a white Wii U and not a black one. I can deal with the smaller hard drive (because I had a spare external hard drive), don't buy anywhere near enough games digitally to take advantage of the digital purchasing thing, and didn't need the other "extras".

I don't think people who bought the deluxe need to get snippy at Basic owners, but I also don't think Basic owners need to necessarily complain about it. I'm certainly not. If it's that much of an issue, I'll upgrade, but unless there is actually anything extremely wrong with my system, I'm fine with what I have.

@rogerwilco But IGN couldn't even get the release date right (claiming it was released at the beginning of this year), so I wouldn't put too much weight on their preview.

I played the game at Eurogamer, and had a great time.

A 5 would be about right, actually. I got enjoyment out of the game, but nowhere near the same as the first. Oswald made some bits very difficult and also made me make some negative decisions just because I found him uncooperative. That being said, I do want to go back and try this game again one day. It bugged me, but intrigued me at the same time.

I contributed to this knowing that, in all likelihoods, it wouldn't reach its goal. But, as a fan of the series, I wanted to at least show that I would love to see another new Dizzy game.

@BossJumpMad I'd sooner have the Kirby pin than the Mario Kart trophies, myself.

I may have to invest in a Twin Skin (although not before I try and purchase a screen protector!), and I would consider the slim charging stand if it actually DOES charge the Wii U Gamepad if only for storage purposes.

Do yourselves a favour, and play the Megadrive version. It's far superior to the SNES version which just feels broken and unfinished.

Also, don't knock farming simulators until you try them - Sim Farm was pretty rockin' back in the day.

@Koops3 - I was referring more to the fact that it is about releases in Europe, and here in the UK, pretty much everything gets a Friday release.

That would be an odd date anyway, since we usually get games on a Friday. Either way, I would go for it a week earlier or later, since I'm off to Eurogamer Expo at that time.

Game Gear was my first system and I have a lot of fond memories of it. I have since reacquired another Game Gear.

Don't forget that the Game Gear's library was vastly expanded with the Master Gear converter... I had a lot of Master System games for my first Game Gear, even though I didn't have a Master System!

Far superior game to the quite frankly rubbish Mario Kart Wii.

This is a really poor review by standards. It doesn't actually say much about the game, and seems to spend half the time bashing it in comparison to Sonic 2, before still giving it 8/10.

@BudDudSlash That would be great, since I doubt anyone I know with a 3DS will invest.

I already got it on PS3, but if I have money sparing (and if it has more to offer), I may be convinced to purchase it twice.
