Ubisoft has confirmed Rayman Origins for 3DS will reach Europe on Friday 16th March.
The portable version of the superb home console platformer is the only real highlight of Ubisoft's 2012 release slate so far. Here's what else Ubi has planned for 3DS:
Funky Barn
Fantasy Petz
Monster 4X4
Puzzler Crosswords
All four of those titles are due for release in June. Still, at least Rayman gets here first, and hopefully every bit as good as the Wii version — our Rayman Origins review awarded it 10/10.

YES!
I held off buying the Wii version for the 3DS version.
So worth it
'Bout time, I'd have bought this a lot sooner if they'd stuck it on the PC.
Hmm... a large part of the fun for Rayman Origins was the local multiplayer, and I have beed keen on most of Ubi's ports on the 3DS(especially since they have been too quiet on the details), yet I am still interested in playing this game in portable form in 3D or in an OLED screen. Will wait for the reviews though. Rayman Origins was great, but sometimes a great game can be ruined by a shoddy port.
This better come with a low price tag too, the PS3 version retails under £20, I want this game but don't want to pay more than I have to!
Shame its mixed in with such low quality games
Can anyone else see the white background of the 3DS homescreen in 3D without the 3D turned on? By going sort of cross-eyed/out of focus?
@C-Olimar.....I'm sorry, but its a tumor.
Beautiful game, hope they can make an impressive affordable port....
Brilliant news. If Rayman Origins is as beautiful to look at and enjoyable to play as the Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, it'll be a real treat for 3DS owners. My Game of the Year just went portable!
If it has single-cart local 4 players than this is gonna be great. If not, why bother at all?
@ JarvanZheitk Yeah! I did the exact same thing! It better be worth it!!
@BudDudSlash That would be great, since I doubt anyone I know with a 3DS will invest.
I already got it on PS3, but if I have money sparing (and if it has more to offer), I may be convinced to purchase it twice.
@linklover21 are u serious about C-Olimar, because in my opinion they arent laughing matters

Oh come now! As if "Funky Barn" won't beat out Rayman by a mile! pfft!
My money's on Fantasy Petz. Anything that replaces an "s" with a "z" is hip and happenin'.
Word.
I wonder if it will plummet in price as quickly as the console versions? 20$ with free shipping from Toys-R-Us. Great for consumers in the short haul, but sad because I love platformers and would love to see more made instead of the truckloads of uncreative "shoot soldier dude in the face" games.
Already bought the Wii verison, so I almost definitely won't be buying this, but nice to know Ubi are supporting 3DS with such a great game!
I got the Wii version and its brilliant. It has the advantage of local multiplayer and you can get it for around 15 pounds if u search hard enough on line. I was originally going to get the 3DS version but the revws + low prices tempted me too much
"Grabbed by the Globox"
That's a great one James!
@Mr_Reece Dude...Fantasy Petz will be the s**z!
While i do care for the 3DS version i've already got the game on my Wii because of the multiplayer. Paid release-price. So even if they add a few things i'm sure i wouldn't pay more than 20 €. Sorry Rayman.
why get on 3ds i allready have this on my Xbox360 and how do u get 220 Electoons to unlock purple rayman
