This is kind of like music, you know. When you look at charts all over the world, it becomes apparent that the majority buy into the most advertised stuff, not necessarily quality goods with alot of high production values.
So, the simple answer to why this happened (and will always happen is), smart and huge marketing = people buy the products which overshadow ones with less promotion. Yes Zelda is "big", however I saw more Zumba Fintess ads everywhere than Zelda ones...its just as simple as that sadly...and your "general population" falls for it everytime!
S Ranked all missions on ACE Difficulty, was not easy! VERY good game! Definitely one of my favourite 3DS games of 2011...hope they make more like this!
Also I love the little half-easter egg they use when you die:
Between the rendered cutscenes + RAID mode + overall graphics and animation quality, anyone else think this game is going to be REALLY short due to the capacity of the 3DS cart? ...that or chock full of frame rate issues?
@DM666 Agreed. However you can see a mile away his personality "maturing" to the eventual hero persona via tragedy and all that jazz throughout the adventures.
Have to agree with @Lan. Its only good for fetch quests which takes little or no skill. The rest? Well...fighting a Golden Rathalos over 50 times to get materials is supposed to become like training after awhile and the point of the game basically. Its a game you end up investing 120~200 hours in normally. Would hate if it was all auto'd for me
Question out there to people here, did you guys find Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii too easy? I remember playing MH2ndG (Freedom Unite in the UK/Euro) and finding it more challenging in general.
From the Metroid II wiki:(http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Metroid_II:_Return_of_Samus)
"Metroid II: Return of Samus is one of three Metroid games without Ridley, the other two being Metroid Prime Hunters and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It is also the only game in the series to not have any Space Pirates in it at all."
I played this as a kid, the space pirates only had a "operation" going on there, hence the metroids all flying about evolving all over the joint! Oh well whatever. Its not like space pirates were ever a solid sell point anyway!
@RedBlueSpot I think if that were achieved, the symbolism (and awesomeness) of the event would cause a black-hole to tear through our space time continuum, which probably wouldn't be good for 3DS sales.

It's the UK charts. Pretty sure most of those sales for the Top 3 are made by chavs / neds (Google it if your not from the UK).
Re: StreetPass for Items in Resident Evil Revelations
RAID mode sounds amazing, can't wait to try and get S rank (or A Rank, if that is the "top" in this) in everything!
Re: Resident Evil: Revelations Demo on the Way
@PinkSpider
Yep! Me too! Can't wait to play the RAID mode!!!

Re: Happy New Year from Nintendo Life!
@battLeToaD - Haha, that's pretty obscure! Since nowadays as you've seen sometimes Europe is getting games waaaay before Japan!
Re: Happy New Year from Nintendo Life!
@15 Uhmmm...Why just Japan? You do realise there is other countries in the nearby vicinity of Japan which have it before you too?
Anyway, Happy New Year everybody!

The music in this game is pretty awesome!

Re: Rumour: Analogue Stick Add-On for 3DS Revealed
Nice design concept to create future generations of kids with RSI.

Re: North American NES Ambassador Games Announced
UK will probably get 10 versions of the controller settings/setup ROM, right?
Re: Talking Point: What Was the Best Super NES Game Ever?
1: Super Metroid
2: Chrono Trigger
3: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
4: Contra 3
5: Cybernator
In THAT precise order!

Does the Ambassador tool give you free cake at the end? prays
Re: Heroes of Ruin Levels Up with Heavy New Trailer
@XDalleX
Agreed.
Re: Heroes of Ruin Levels Up with Heavy New Trailer
Does this game have item+map+monster randomization? If so, then this is basically Diablo for the 3DS...which is awesome with the online co-op etc
Re: Feature: The Future of Nintendo Gaming - 2D or Not 2D?
Will take quite a few generations and proper implementations of 3D technology to become a household thing.
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th August 2011 (Europe)
...aaaaaaand cue 3DS-hate filled article from Jim Sterling on Destructoid.
Though in all honesty this is not so good, as usual.
I hope they get around someday to releasing Contra for the GB, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge or R-Type, e.g actual decent GB games.
