@Kiz3000 I would think the cost of battery inside the stand vs battery attached to the stand would even out. I would pay the little difference to have everything all in one.
@Kiz3000 That playstand would be awesome if it had a built in battery so you can take it on the go with you. It loses appeal to me since it still needs and outlet.
Originally I was going to pick this up retail day off when I pick up my Switch. After Treehouse and reading various articles I think I am going to make this my first download game.
I think people are underestimating the other 14 games that will come with this release.
I personally will want this readily available to play at home or take to friends to show off or to take to comic conventions to make a fool of myself as I am dressed as Mario.
@dorkeybubblehead @TheAceofMystery As nice as those ideas are, we should temper our expectations a little.
Nintendo land (in florida which is rumored to be the biggest of the three) in only going to take up the space occupied by the Kidzone which right now includes E.T. The Ride, a Barney ride, Playground, a couple of small kiddie rides, and a (admitally big in terms of space) animal show. Not enough for a main hub connecting to different "worlds" or for a large amount of rides.
If they tear down E.T and The Animal Show I think They will put in 2 A+ rides with possibly two B rides, like spinners or dumbo type.
The rest of the land will be highly themed shops and food.
My guess it will be a compromise of Harry Potter and Simpsons land. Not QUITE the detail of HP (which it does not need to be) with the more open space of Simpsons Land (which is my favorite of any land Universal or Disney)
@DefHalan Well for time frames; Harry Potter at Universal Florida took 2.5 years to build. The Universal Diagon Alley expansion took over 2 years as well. If you look at Disney, Star Wars land was announced in 2015 and will not be ready until close to 2020 in Florida. We have a while especially with no construction even started.
If people think waiting for the Switch is bad, this is going to be brutal. This could be a 3 plus year wait depending on what parks get priority and where they put them.
@Ralizah I took from the rumor that it would be a trade in program for the stores, not the consumers. A place like Target would trade in their copies of Splatoon and get the Switch version in return. So stores do not have loads of unsellable games.
@BensonUii YARRR . . . . . (A Pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel on his crotch. Bartender asks "Whats that steering wheel doing on your crotch?" The pirate replies "Yarr its driving me nuts".)
@Zapazoid I know you were being sarcastic with your comment but what you said has been done before, to an extent. TIMECODE. 4 screens at once playing the same movie following different characters whose plots overlap. All done in one 90 minute take. So if Nintendo did this I would be happy.
To the broader topic. I think Nintendo should do a Mario movie. Make it a comedy. Make it very meta and 4th wall breaking and poke a lot of fun at itself. Something bright and funny kids would like but with enough in jokes and self referential fun that adults will want to see it.
@Tops To me (based off a lot of play time originally and just a little on my WiiU) the judges conditions can be hit or miss. I think early on you would probably have the most trouble but as you level up and add members and change jobs it does not become as much as a problem.
I just had to do a early level mission with a no Fight law. 3 of my characters could not attack at all. My archer could only use her special skill to immobilize people. My bangaan could only use his special whirlwind strike, and my muggle could only use magic.
It was just in Chicago a couple of weeks ago and it was such a awesome concert. It gets better each time (it was my third time going). I can not wait for 13 months to go by to see it again.
I am kinda kicking myself for that Best Buy 3DS XL bundle. But I got the target system for 150 and I am sure I can find M&L used someplace. So its almost even.
@sinalefa When I waited for wind waker to download it at midnight it actually became available 11pm my time (Illinois). I am hoping that is the case tonight to.
@ferthepoet Nice to see when thousands are dying from natural disasters that something as small as videogames needs to be handled with threats of violence. First world problems I guess.
3DS takes 64gb card? I thought 32 was the highest it goes? Not that im running out of space but with AC, Luigis Mansion, Link now I am getting a collection going.
I got SF2 Turbo for the 1.50 upgrade and then SSF2 for half off because of the special. The buy1 get 1 1/2 off deal and upgrade special should be considered if you want one or multible editions.
As someone alluded to, brink the Marvel Comic app to Wii U. It has AR supported special features already in their print issues with talk about adapting them to digital versions.

Re: Defenders of the Triforce 'Experience' Coming to US Cities
Excited that its coming to Chicago.
Wary that its not a individual experience. Website says 100-240 people playing at the same time (in groups of 6) in the same room.
Chances for extreme theming and interactive puzzles just went way down.
I am thinking more group D & D then Purge: Breakout.

Re: Reminder: North American Gamers Can Buy an amiibo and Get Mini Mario & Friends Now
Target has early access coupons in there stores, or at least my store.
Gives you a 3DS and WiiU code. No purchase needed.

Signed up. Took all of 15 seconds to do. Off to Miitomo.

Re: Gallery: These Fan-Made Splatoon Weapons Are Pretty Fresh
I am happy with my PVC Roller. But that Inkstrike is pretty sweet and would be a great secondary weapon for me.

doing the predictions does not enter you. There is aspecific screen you go to to enter.
Go to the "play" button with the crown on it.

So with such low sales there is a good chance someone from NL will win sarcasm but really hoping I do
Re: Netflix Wii U App Update Goes Live
I never had a problem with Netflix. Especially with the Super HD now. Biggest nitpick is sometimes it takes 10/15 seconds for the hd to kick in.
I only used the wiiu app and my phone app. If I want to watch multible episodes I am happy it automatically advances the episodes.
As a nintendo fan I am very happy.
now if they would just put in the wwe app.
Re: This Year of Luigi Diorama Brings a Dark Moon to Club Nintendo

Re: System Update Will Allow You To Share eShop Balances Across Wii U And 3DS
@bloodycelt
Sad when (even jokingly) wanting to punch someone in the face is defended moreso then speaking out against violence.
The dads and parents who beat up umpires and coaches when there kid strikes out in baseball are just very passionate then.
But bringing natural tragedy is a little much so perspective on both sides is always nice to have.
So I will move on now.
Re: System Update Will Allow You To Share eShop Balances Across Wii U And 3DS
@electrolite77
Passionate is spending all night in the cold for a Wii. Or a 3DS. Or going to Nintendo Mall experiences or events like videogames live.
Saying you want to hurt someone and punch them is not passionate. Its a meatball statement.
He knew he got carried away with the statement and made a real passionate statement in the end.
